I would not recommend Silva as he over charges and deliver extremely poor quality work. He is basically a middleman who would outsource the project to a some local contractor. I had two bathrooms renovations and I canceled the project after seeing his work in one of them. I hired a different one who charged me 50% less than him and delivered far far better quality work. I am giving him 1 star as thats the minimum I can give and he refunded balance as we mutually canceled the project after the first bathroom. What he mentioned in the reply is a half truth. I told him to continue only if he can improve the quality of his work which he denied and prefer to close the project. I reiterate again - avoid him at all cost.
Jose and his team were exceptional. Scope of work—Fireplace demo and surround, Kitchen renovation with custom cabinets, vent hood and bar. New hardwood floors throughout with water popping and custom staining to achieve a seamless look with a rich stain. New tile in the laundry room and bathroom, updating electrical, replacing chandeliers, updating water valves etc. paint throughout. The crew was timely and respectfully as they dutifully worked for three months to completely transform our home. They worked diligently to custom match our existing cabinets—No builder grade shakers here! All custom, gorgeous carpentry work. If something wasn’t perfect—They did it again. Jose took time to visit the slab yard and hardwood floors to ensure everything sourced was of the best quality—Something I really appreciated. His team was always respectful, hardworking and kind. They worked 6 days a week around the clock to ensure we received an excellent product. I look forward to working with him again and wouldn’t dare allow anyone else to touch our home. The only thing I ask is that he doesn’t get tooooo busy to take on my smaller projects :) Rarely do people walk away with zero complaints after an extensive remodel. I have none and would recommend Jose time and time again. Thank you for making our dreams come true!
They did a fantastic job painting rooms in my house and getting it done quickly and efficiently. Very happy with the work.
I couldn't be happier with my experience working with Silva Remodeling and Construction! After 5 years of waiting and saving, we were finally able to do our kitchen renovation. We met with three different contractors and immediately vibed with Jose - his communication and professionalism was top notch and I really loved that they are a small local and family owned business. Their pricing was competitive and their estimates were easy to read and transparent on all costs, what is included, etc. When the work began, the small team was on time and very respectful of our home. My husband and I both work from home so we were around most days and really appreciated the team who was onsite each day. The job was completed efficiently and any minor hiccups along the way were solved quickly (most, if not all of which were out of their control.) I plan to contact Jose and Silva Remodeling with all future renovation and home project needs and would recommend them to my friends and family. We are so pleased with our new kitchen and was so pleasantly surprised with the entire experience - we know it doesn't always go that way, so we're very grateful!
From our first meeting I knew that our project was in good hands with Silva Remodeling. Jose came on site and offered multiple options for our bathroom remodel. In the end the project was more complicated than he thought, but he and his crew found creative solutions without charging us more, something only a talented crew and solid Project Manager could do. They also seamlessly added new hardwoods throughout the house. Highly recommend them for all your projects.
Very professional
Working with Jose and his crew has been nothing short of a breeze. Not only he himself but his crew are very meticulous and thorough with their work. For the 2.5 months they were in my house where they removed popcorn ceiling, repainted the whole house & did a master bathroom remodel (I knocked down the wall to the walk in closet, expanded it about 2 feet into the attic and installed a window. Also made a steam room cum walk-in shower) they were professional and kinda became a family while they were here and helped with other mini-projects too. I was really happy with the prep work and the clean up after as well. Jose also was flexible Nd patient as I went ahead and changed the plan for the Mayer bathroom a couple of times. It was refreshing to see someone who took pride in their work, their brand and the quality. Most importantly, they were very economical too! I will highly recommend them!
The work was absolutely lovely. The price was reasonable. And I am especially impressed with the care and professional approach expressed by everyone involved. The work space was left clean and neat, and every part of the job was done promptly and carefully.
Excellent craftsmanship. The new shelf matches existing seamlessly.
Jose and his team were great to Work with from start to finish. Jose was very responsive and helpful throughout the remodeling process. We had a delay on our countertop installation (separate company) and Jose was very flexible with scheduling. Our new tile flooring and backsplash turned out great! Such an upgrade from what we had. Jose and his team also helped us with installing new electrical outlets and baseboards throughout. They offered us quality work for a reasonable price. I highly recommend Jose and his company for your next remodel! Thank you again! First photo is before the remodel and the other 4 are after, we’re still finishing up a couple things separate from the work Jose and his team helped with. Such a huge improvement!
They tackled a job that others didn't want to do, they did it quickly, and they did a great job.
Jose and his family are easy to work with and do high quality work. I have used them for many projects and would not consider using anyone else for future projects.
Great experience!
José and his team were exceptional. They did a great job in a short amount of time. We'd definitely hire them again in a heartbeat!
Jose Silva and team did a great job! Definitely recommend them.
Jose and his crew did a great job on creating a kitchenette with sink and mini fridge in a studio apartment. I had some trouble finding somebody to do the whole job, including plumbing, counter modification, and electrical, but they did it all at a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend. (Attached before and after photos).
Jose did an amazing job for the laundry room cabinets . The quality of the cabinets and the install process was good.
Incredible work on remodeling my stairs!
Jose and his team at Silva Remodeling built and installed a custom “cloffice” - complete with 2 floating shelves, a floating desk, and 6 new electrical outlets. In addition, Silva Remodeling painted, patched drywall, and sealed in various places. The quality is outstanding. The desk and shelves are incredibly sturdy. Jose was excellent at keeping me updated on progress, and involving me at just the right times to make various choices. I highly recommend Silva Remodeling, and will certainly be contacting Jose about future projects.
