SK Construction exceeded expectations. Our last home remodeling project was DIY which was a very stressful and frustrating experience that I did not like at all and was nervous about any future home improvement projects. Our Project Manager, Tom Akiva, was excellent - his knowledge, attention, consistent communication, detailing of all steps and walking us through this process were greatly appreciated, and his contractor Teams were also professional and worked so hard. Construction in one’s home is always a bit stressful, but we were so impressed by everyone involved! And we are grateful, and love our new bathroom - I no longer dread using our master bath, and am willing to work on future home improvement projects. Thank you to Tom, SK Construction, and all Teams. 👏 👏

I would not recommend this company based on my experience. I found them through Thumbtack and scheduled an estimate with their project manager, Tom. During our consultation, I made it very clear that I had a strict 30-day timeline and asked whether they could realistically complete the work within that timeframe. Tom assured me that they could. As any homeowner would, I spent time discussing the project, asking questions, and planning the details. Later, when I spoke with Sarah, their scheduling coordinator, I was told that they weren’t even available for the next 2–3 weeks. Trying to make things work, I offered to scale back the project and move forward with just the cabinets, which Tom had previously told me would only take about three days to complete. With a full month available, I thought this would be reasonable. Unfortunately, communication quickly became frustrating. Tom stopped responding to my messages and left questions unanswered. Then, after all the time spent discussing the project and planning, I received a call from Sarah informing me that they couldn’t even start within my 30-day timeline. The most disappointing part is that this information could have been shared from the beginning. Had I been told upfront that they were unavailable, I would have respected that and simply continued my search elsewhere. Instead, I feel like my time was wasted and my expectations were set based on information that turned out not to be accurate. I understand that schedules change and contractors get busy. What I cannot understand is why a company would agree to a timeline they know they cannot meet and then leave a potential customer chasing answers. If communication, transparency, and respect for your time are important to you, my experience suggests you may want to look carefully before hiring this company.
