I was able to bargain with him for a better price since my project was very quick and only needed his strength to get a Murphy bookcase bed from the garage to the bedroom.
I previously posted a review for SMS that was meant for another Thumbtack handyman. I’m very sorry & regret if it has interfered with hiring him as this is his livelihood. Thumbtack does not not allow me to emote the review even though it’s not for him so hiring him was the only way & waiting for their request to review his work. His work is impeccable. I can’t say enough! He should most definitely be your number one choice!
Tim did a great job with an 'out of the box' project. He talked through it with me, then sent me some possibilities/ideas when he was at Home Depot on another job. I appreciated his professionalism and communication and would definitely hire him again for any job!
His profile states $69/hr. I agreed over the phone to pay $180 thinking that it would take 3 hours to break my couch & loveseat down from an upper unit to a lower unit in the same bldg. It took 30-40 minutes. I asked then why $180? He said it was 2 of them working. Well that’s $120 but because I agreed, I paid. They were efficient, kind & professional. I asked could they hang my patio blinds afterward. I have the drill, cement drill bit for 3 holes, 3 hooks and the blinds. He told me they don’t do that kind of work. While I have other handyman jobs I won’t choose him because he may indeed have limited skills. if yoz can’t drill 3 holes. If I wasn’t a senior & could do it, I would get on the ladder & do it myself. Dr. Both were nice guys but the quote was far off from the amount I paid. That’s the only reason I gave them 3 stars.
Tim was wonderful, he took on a project that another handyman all but ruined and turned a furniture grade dog crate into a piece that looks nice and is functional for us. I have hired him for another project and hope to work with him on other projects as well. Can't say enough about his service!
