SoFlo Tutors changed my daughter's whole academic trajectory raising her SAT score 310 points and helping her navigate the college process. I am so excited that she is heading to Vanderbilt to major in economics, but before SoFlo she was a lackluster students who couldn't motivate herself to get work done. A top school like Vandy was out of the question. SoFlo unlocked her potential and changed the game! We reached out to Abby and the SoFlo team the summer before senior year for 1-on-1 SAT Tutoring because my daughter was refusing to study on her own. They paired us with Macy an amazing tutor who is also a professional cyclist. My daughter is an athlete and the two of them instantly hit it off. My daughter felt like she was working with a friend not a teacher and it was almost like she was tricked into studying. After 3 months of studying over the summer she took the SAT and got a 1530, which was a 310 point improve from her initial score of 1220!! With a high SAT score, we began to consider applying to top colleges. We were worried about her bad grades freshman year but SoFlo's owner Adam felt that we could write a great essay to capture the attention of admissions readers. Our strategy was that between the test scores and the essay, one school might take a chance on her. So she started working with a college counselor who helped brainstorm essays and by the end, we had a powerful story of overcoming injury on the soccer field. My daughter absolutely loved working with SoFlo Tutors. She only had a month before her upcoming SAT and we were panicking. We wanted to utilize every resource possible to reach her target score. So yes, we even hired multiple tutors from different agencies. Compared to the others, we quickly saw how amazing Adam's team was, and we switched exclusively to SoFlo Tutors. Our tutor Emily is an absolute genius. She can take the most complex concepts and find super clear ways to explain them. If my daughter Jessica ever doesn't understand she immediately realizes and slows down the pace. Jessica doesn't even have to ask her to re-explain, she just knows that the concept didn't stick. At SoFlo Jess started with a diagnostic test that helped her tutor understand her strengths and weaknesses to find ways to explain concepts specifically to her learning style. It was nice to have a customized approach and a proper studying game plan. After 3 weeks, I noticed Jess was just below her goal score. With one week left, Emily recognized the small gap and taught Jess tricks for her least favorite topics (Commas and grammar rules). On test day, we got the exact score we wanted!! Like Emily, the manager Christina is a genius. Whenever I had a question about testing dates or how to pay, Christina quickly gave me an informative answer with a friendly attitude. Again, I can not recommend SoFlo Tutors highly enough.

I value my privacy and normally do not write reviews but our family is incredibly grateful to the SoFlo team. They did an outstanding job with my child and I am grateful for their excellent service, professional approach, and honest feedback. As a company they strive for greatness and the effort level shows. The tutor was able to connect with my child as a coach and a Mentor which boosted his confidence a lot. The SoFlo approach focuses on the individual student's needs and teaches students how to approach various types of SAT questions. At the end of sessions they give actionable feedback along with homework for the next week. The system worked for my child. For the parents out there shopping for an online SAT tutor there are many options. I have done my research and called many of them. We had 3 trial sessions, and choosing SoFlow as an informed choice. Save yourself from stress of shopping around and make SoFlo your first choice. They fill up fast but that is because of their great results.

Long story short: I definitely recommend SoFlo as they are the best tutors I could asked for. 100% worth it. Our daughter is a top notch AP student who did well on the PSAT and her first SAT, but for some reason, her practice test scores were much higher than her real test scores. (She was scored a 1230 on her first SAT, while her practice scores never dipped below 1400.) Self-study with Khan Academy didn't work because here schedule is so busy and having a tutor gave her structure to actually attend lessons. If we reached out to Adam and the SoFlo Tutors team sooner, we would have saved some time and frustration (and might have been able to eliminate one SAT booking and have a more relaxed summer). Everyone is super knowledgeable, professional, and kind in their instruction. After 6 weeks of weekly classes, our daughter was measurable better both on her practice test scores and with her testing confidence. She learned tricks and tips that made a big difference and now has a mastery of the material. Walking out of the August SAT with a smile she said she crushed the exam which compared to her earlier sittings when she came out stressed and crying was a huge difference. My daughter improved from a 1230 to a 1580 (!). When the scores came back we couldn't believe it. She has a life charging score difference. SoFlo Tutors is a great value and worth the investment 10x, even if you can only manage a handful of sessions. I can't recommend SoFlo Tutors more.

SoFlo Tutors did an incredible job preparing my daughter with their test prep services. Their tutoring and curriculum is of the highest quality. My daughter Kelsey said she has never learned so quickly. In only 5 sessions she has improved her SAT score 260 points from a 1270 to a 1530. That score increase is going to change her life! The results speak for themselves. SoFlo is the real deal. I urge you to give Adam and his team a try. They are capable, friendly, and affordable. Their SAT tutoring delivered great results and my daughter also enjoyed her sessions. At one point she even called sessions 'fun'. I thought she might not be excited when I told her she was going to sit with an SAT tutor and that the tutoring would be virtual. How fun can the SAT be? But when the tutor Amelia sent us a 4 week progress report she reported that my daughter was engaged during sessions and always came to class with her homework completed. They focused on building a relationship with my daughter and it paid off because she was much more enthusiastic about doing the necessary work Amelia tutored Kelsey during her Junior High School year for 2 separate SAT dates. On our initial meeting/consultation with SoFlo, we discussed my daughter's baseline score from her PSAT along with whether we should consider ACT Tutoring or continue preparing for the SAT. SoFlo gave my daughter a combo ACT/SAT diagnostic test so we could figure out which exam was best for her. Weekly tutoring meetings to teach testing tricks and fundamentals were paired with homework assignments. Our tutor Amelia did a great job of adjusting homework based on my daughter's existing heavy course load. She made sure my daughter was never overwhelmed. Between scheduled test prep sessions, she was always available for quick questions or clarifications on practice test topics. I'm so happy with my daughter's 260 point increase! Give SoFlo a try. They are the best!!

We reached out to SoFlo Tutors for our daughter to improve her SAT score with 1-on-1 SAT Tutoring. The process was easy and straight forward. Christina spoke with us to learn about our needs and then paired our daughter with Stacie, who was a perfect fit. Stacie is better than every other tutor my daughter previously used. I am very glad we found them for test prep services. I asked my daughter what she thought of Stacie and this was her response. “She helped me boost my score and pushed me to stay focused on tutoring sessions. At first I was a little skeptical of the online tutoring idea since my eldest did all of her SAT tutoring in-person. My son Eli's experience with SoFlo totally removed all doubt. Eli's tutor Sofia was amazing and the digital communication was seamless, as if they were in the same room but for a fraction of the price. Eli really struggled with the math section initially and Sofia was able to explain the concepts in a way that made sense to him and his math score improved by 160 points and his total score by 230! And everything was so affordable for our family. Without SoFlo, there is no way Eli could have gotten into Georgetown University, his dream school! This tutoring experience totally changed Eli's college trajectory and thankfully meant that we didn't have to deal with college applications over this winter break since he was accepted early action. I could not thank SoFlo enough for allowing our family to have more time together around the holidays. Adam Shlomi was an exceptional tutor and an expert when it comes to the SAT and ACT. I had visited college experts before and the general classroom approach did not improve the specific subjects I needed help with. Adam listened to all my needs and immediately formulated a plan to help me strengthen my performance in the reading section. I met with Adam once a week for 3 months and he helped me improve my score by 220 points. I can’t thank him enough!
