About STEMUcated
I’m a trained scientist turned science teacher. As a 10+ year educator I have experience in public, charter and private high schools as well as college. I have taught a variety of subjects including biology, A.P & I.B. Biology, chemistry, environmental science and an Introduction to Biological Research Methods course for college students. Since leaving the classroom she has created her company, STEMUcated, a STEM tutorial and curriculum writing company focusing on building study skills and knowledge acquisition in preparation for college STEM courses. My accolades include 2018-19 Teacher of the Year at my school, Science Department Chair of the Year, increasing ACT Science Scores by an average of 4 points and increasing the number of students passing the AP biology and biology state standardized exam. I work with students from grade 5-college tutoring biology, chemistry, environmental science, earth science, engineering basics, and other STEM courses.
