They were responsive, professional, and offered discounts for additional work around the fence. I was very happy with them, would definitely recommend and hire again!

We had an excellent experience with Step by Step construction! They did a fantastic job repairing our fence—everything looks as good as new. The team was friendly, professional, and incredibly responsive throughout the process. On top of that, their pricing was very reasonable. Highly recommend them for any fencing needs!

They are experts in fence repair. A section of our fence got blown down. The posts had rotted. The house is around 10 years old. Step by step replaced the posts and reused existing planks. Better for the pocket and environment. Other vendors only gave me quote for replacing the section, which would have cost more and looks odd because the new section would look different from the rest.

I got a few bids, and Step by Step had the most realistic scope and pricing. They were really easy to schedule with, had minimal requirements for us, easy payment, and efficient work. I’ll definitely use again. (Before and after pics)

Thankful for Step by Step for repairing our fence and a post the day before Thanksgiving. Communication was great and honest throughout. We didn’t feel pressure to do more than what we wanted. And they put back everything the way it was before.

I would highly recommend Step by Step construction!! I had to urgently fix our old fence gate as I adopted a new dog. The owner contacted me right away, immediately understood my needs, and got the job done so quickly. I was grateful that he kindly explained to me what they were doing and why. I would definitely call them again if I need any other help with our fence.

I found Step by Step Construction through Thumbtack. I live in Kirkland and they are in Auburn so we aren’t sure why this match was made, but I am so glad it did. They called me back right away and said they could come up that day at the end of the day. They seemed to understand what I needed done from the photos I had sent to them and right away they talked about the quality of the materials they would use and we discussed some of the challenges they would face. They seemed to be right on and I felt confident with them. I felt so good about them that later that day I let them know I wanted to use their company. They call 811 to make sure there no utilities in the area. As soon as 811 came out I let them know and they were out the next day to put my fence up. It is beautiful. Everything is exactly as it should be...the holes were deep enough, the posts are set in concrete, the slats are cedar and the fence is nice and straight. It looks great! I would definitely recommend them. I am sorry that my photos are flipped on their sides. Please turn your phone.

Augustine did a fantastic job with the fence post and it is no longer sagging! We had a miscommunication with the price, but both of us resolved it amiably, showing professionalism in his craft. Will definitely hire him again!
