We couldn't be happier with our shower/bath project that Steve completed for us. Truly exceeded our expectations. We had multiple quotes from many contractors and felt most comfortable with Steve. His prices are more than fair. Quality of work was 10 out of 10. He is consistent, dependable and reliable. The project was completed in the appropriate amount of time. We recently moved into a condo and discovered that the deck was in serious need of repair. At first we all thought it would be a short job, but as we saw beneath the surface we saw that there was severe wood rot throughout the whole deck and adjoining columns. Instead of putting a quick cover over it all, Steve worked to replace all the rotted wood even having to use his 32 foot ladder on the hot sun. He also put in metal flashing all around so water will not be able to seep through. So, even though it took longer than expected, it will last a very very long time.

I would have chosen all 3 characteristics if I could have for Steve but Thumbtack only allowed 3 of the 5. After having a negative experience with a previous handyman I carefully read Steve’s reviews before contacting him. Steve contacted me shortly afterwards and made a plan to come over to do an in person estimate. Steve was on time to his appointment with me (and subsequent meetings). After discussing my initial repair and feeling confident in him I inquired about other projects I had on my list and hired them for all. Steve gave me options to complete my projects that I had not considered and finished all of them in a little over a day! I will be a returning customer for him as he takes great pride in his work. Steve did such a good job last Spring with my bathroom redo, that I hired him back to install some lights. One in the kitchen over the sink and one can light in the living room. He fixed the light in the living room, and actually fixed the kitchen light as well, but I had already chosen a new light for the kitchen. The light I purchased was much smaller than the previous one. He had to take down the old light, add and move an electrical box, recreate the texture of my ceiling since the old light left a pretty big hole, and install the new light. He did a great job. 100% satisfied. Steve is always honest, upfront and friendly. His knowledge and know-how covers most projects. His prices are more than fair. I will continue to use him for all of my projects as I slowly update every room in my home. Wish I would have taken a before picture. Next time I will.
We called him for an estimate and he was able to repair one door, saving us from the replacement cost, and was very reasonably priced for the remaining 4 doors we needed hung. He met us at Lowe's and helped us choose the correct doors we would need and other supplies for the job. He even fished a couple toothbrushes out of our drain when he saw they were slow to drain. Just a great guy all around and we are so excited to have working doors again! We saved his card and he will be our go-to guy for future projects.
Steve bent over backwards to built EXACTLY what I wanted. He was great! Highly recommend! I actually hired him for drywall repair and happened to mention my bedroom wall idea. He said that he could also do this for me. He didn’t disappoint!! Very, very pleased! First two pics of old room - last two of our project. I say “our”. I had ideas and Steve brought more ideas that I would have not thought of. He thinks of the small details. Very important! 5 ⭐️
