About Steve Jolemore
I'm a guitar and bass instructor for more than 30 years. I teach classical, fingerstyle, jazz, country, blues, and rock styles and play them fluently. I also can teach music reading, music theory, ear training and songs. A lot of my students like to bring songs they are interested in learning and I learn the songs by ear and teach them to play the songs they love. I am great with younger children (ages 7 and up), teenagers and adults. I am based at Alpha Music in Virginia Beach, VA. Go to the Alpha website to see more pictures, reviews from students and audio and links to audio and video of me teaching and playing. I am also offering remote instruction via FaceTime, Skype, and Zoom.

Looking forward to my first guitar lesson.
Taking lessons with Steve was a great decision. I look forward to learning guitar from him.
Nice and knowledgeable
Great at responding and we will start lessons when my child's guitar arrives.
I was a complete beginner to guitar and Steve had been extremely patient with me in teaching the basics. I found his tips and tricks really helpful to pick up the chords. I really like how he used to converse about the history of music and it's origin. Would definitely recommend him.
After a long conversation and an initial lesson, we are both on the same page as far as my interests in learning guitar. I think we will be a great fit.
My daughter's first session is Friday and she's very excited.
After speaking with Steve, I found him to be very knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. I have not started lessons yet, but I feel he will be a good match for what I would like to learn.
Great and timely response. Good flexibility.
