Carolyn is an amazing instructor. As a total beginner, I was nervous at first, but she made me feel completely comfortable right away. Her teaching style is clear, encouraging, and fun. I can’t believe how much I learned in just a short time. Highly recommend Lux Studios for anyone looking to get into salsa or Latin dance.

Studio Lux Dance Company is the passion project of Carolyn and Stefan De La Rosa, full-time professional dancers with over 47 years of combined dancing experience and 38 years combined teaching experience. Carolyn is very friendly and patient! She answers every question I have and is very thorough when showing the dance moves.
Carolyn was fantastic! We took an intro class and 4 full length classes to prepare for our first dance at our wedding. Carolyn choreographed the dance for us at just the right level of difficulty. She was extremely kind and patient. Taking dance classes with Carolyn was one of the best investments we could have made for our wedding! We felt so much more at ease going into the night and our guests loved our performance! It was also a really FUN experience and a great way to escape the stresses of wedding planning. Highly recommend taking classes with Carolyn-- you will not regret it!

Carolyn is a sweetheart as a person and the best when it comes to professionalism ! She helped me build up confidence when dancing with a partner by being easy going and friendly just to give you enough space to set yourself up for the right amount of versatility and grace that you need for yourself and your partner while couple dancing! Carolyn is great! We’re working with her on a rather complicated dance and she’s incredibly gifted and gracious with how she breaks down every move. I already feel like we’ve improved ten fold after one class!
I wasn't certain what to expect from my first dance class but Carolyn made me feel welcome and comfortable. She inquired about my goals and previous dance experience and started right off with clear instruction and demonstration. She listened to my questions (even the dumb ones) showed proper technique. Maybe most importantly, she made it fun! I will be taking additional private dance lessons from Carolyn. Highly recommended dance instructor.
