Garage door installation failed after 2 months, causing the door to collapse and damage my car. Contractor has been unresponsive and has not provided a resolution. An independent inspection by another garage door company found the installation was improper and not compliant with code in multiple areas.
I was surprised when I hit my garage door button and the door crumpled like a piece of paper! Thankfully, I found Aviv from Swift Garage Door at my house about an hour later telling me exactly what happened. Apparently, this was the original garage door/spring which was 22 years old, and the spring gave out. I never thought much about garage maintenance because I never had any issues (I know, I know). However, if you’ve never had the service done, this is the final result - very unexpectedly as I was heading out for the evening. Aviv came back today and had the old door removed and the new one (and a new garage door opener) installed in no time. He programmed everything for me quick and even explained a complication he had to work through with my wiring to get the job done. It was an unexpected lesson, with Swift Garage Door was fast, easy, and very fair cost! Thank you, again Aviv!
These guys were amazing! They came out the next day to install a side motor on my garage door. Would highly recommend them. Professional and reliable.
I asked how much to replace cables and was quoted between $100-150. Then, when they get there they said $139 PLUS $110 for labor. Why didn’t they say that on the phone? Then, next thing I know they wanted $500 for my garage to balance it and pressuring to fix things I didn’t care to like a bent panel. Definitely wouldn’t hire again, very unethical pricing and sales tactics.
Aviv was great! Super helpful and prompt with fixing the garage door
Aviv did excellent work!! He showed up right away and fixed our problem in no time at all very reasonable price. Would recommend!!
I had a great experience with Swift Garage Door. One of my garage door springs snapped unexpectedly, and they were out to my house in Brentwood the same day. The technician was extremely nice and clearly an expert he had the old springs out and the new ones installed in no time. Their prices were very reasonable, especially compared to other quotes I got on Thumbtack. I’ll definitely be using them again!
Beware high-priced line items charged by this pro. While our small garage door was repaired, we felt like we were taken advantage of by this company and sold more than was necessary. Basic parts replaced can be seen in photos. My wife was home when the pro arrived to do a basic repair for a small garage door spring and cable job that later cost us $1100! I called later to question the high cost that was already paid for unfortunately - line items such as a 3 inch 2x4 wood repair listed at $125. They explained the cost by describing the labor involved to replace that wood piece and I reminded them there was already a separate labor fee I was paying on top of that. They obliged my complaint with a $65 refund that I had to remind them to give me days later. They charged for Cables at $158 (no doubt these and others had mysterious labor added as well). I would not recommend this business as it seems there is unethical pricing practices.
Had a great experience with this company. Came out and repaired our garage door’s springs same day. Very nice to work with as well. Highly recommend.
Installation of new motor was poorly done .Old wiring was not removed and he left with a part of mine that he also broke . Called for follow up and left hanging without any solution .
