Vanya did a very professional job of painting my kitchen wall. He is nice and respectful always trying to respond to what I wanted in the job.
Vanya was professional and responsive. He addresses our needs and concerns in a timely manner and is proactive about problem solving.
They did an absolutely terrible job. Paint on brand new carpet, on windowsills, baseboards, stairs, etc. Uneven paint in walls, wrong colors put on the walls. Paint and swatches and showing white underneath in multiple spots. 1/3 of the job not even done and they refused to come back to complete it. Daily asking for a bigger deposit when I already gave them a 30% deposit. Contracting without a license and using someone else’s license. Refusing to honor the contract. Absolute nightmare. They justified their shoddy work. I have to hire someone else to fix the problems that they caused and to finish the job since they refused to come back.
He did not keep his first appointment and then stopped responding altogether.
Excellent job by the team. Great work along with continuous communication throughout the project. I was not present onsite after first meeting, but they consistently shared every detail along with progress pictures, which really helped build trust and confidence in their work. They went above and beyond in taking care of the details and addressing all feedback that was provided. I would gladly work with them again anytime.
My experience with this contractor was fine up until the day of work itself. The individual who showed-up to do the work spoke no English even though text communications purportedly from his phone were in English. The entire conversation was handled on Google translate. He did not seem to understand the scope or even the nature of the work. He seemed to think this was an ordinary paint job, whereas what we were doing - and was specified in the contract - was adding two layers of Elastomeric 100% Acrylic Roof Coating. He stated he would need just one day to prepare the surface and apply two coats. This on a cloudy day in San Francisco! He seemed not to know how to operate a pressure washer, and in the process, left the stairs leading to the roof soaked with water. Before any actual work was performed and any materials were delivered, he requested a $1000 downpayment. At this point, he had to let him go. I am surprised that Thumbtack would recommend an obviously unqualified contractor.
