About Tavla Studio
For as long as I can remember, I have always had an innate need to create and express myself through art. As a child, the best present I ever received was a plastic art easel. It prompted me to spend hours practicing to be the next Bob Ross. Within a couple of years, I burned rolls and rolls of film as my best friend Dana modeled among the apple trees near our home. Then almost two decades later, I captured a grown-up Dana at her beachside wedding. Her mother said it was meant to be since I had photographed her all her life. I refined my love of photography by earning my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Photography from Western Michigan University in 2002. And I have learned more than I could have imagined working for commercial photographers, including 3 years as the in-house 2nd photographer, producer, & stylist for Jim Powell Advertising Photography. My artistic & commercial background allow me to capture your wedding as the unique event that it is, and make your photos truly one of a kind. I view my photography as more than just a way to make a living. My hope is that you are able to experience all the beauty in the world in a different way, that you are able to see it through my eyes. I love being a storyteller. I love the combination of my artistic sensibility with my technical knowledge.

Coreene was very responsive from the beginning! I had her take proposal photos and she was very helpful in keeping it low-key to keep my fiance from knowing I had hired a photographer. She kept it a surprise and met me at the location! Would definitely hire her again.

Coreen was absolutely wonderful. We had a large gathering of friends and family for my parent's 60 year wedding anniversary. I am so happy that we asked Coreen to take photographs at the event.
