I hired TCH Improvements to remove 2 existing hot water haters in an attic and replace them with a tankless water heater, and to re-route an exterior BBQ gas line, for $3,836.48 Where new tankless water heater installed • Water leak from roof because did not cut old exhaust pipe to connect new exhaust at same place; instead, shoved the old exhaust vent pipe three feet higher above the roof, which moved the rain diverter flange 3 feet above the roof, creating a leak • Water dripping from unit because did not hand-tighten the condensate tank drain plug Where old second tank removed • Left gas pipe uncapped. The valve was turned off, but no cap at the end of the line. Gas leak hazard. • Left cold water inlet pipe free standing six feet tall unsupported, hazard for knocking over to trigger a water leak and it rattled like a ghost Pricing and quoting • $1,160 in surprise fees added after agreeing to a $3,836 fixed fee project (30% miss on a 1 day job!) o When he asked me to order the unit itself from Lowe’s, he deducted the price of the unit but then added an extra $289.89 “for a p-trap” – which would cost <$10 but it’s already built in to the Rinnai and actually costs $0 o End of day 1, half the house did not have running hot water because the supply tanks had been separate. Asked for an extra $702.75 to finish the plumbing because he had not anticipated that problem. Settled on extra $461.25 o Added extra $168 for electrical • $200 fee to provide a price estimate. This is noted on Thumbtack if you dig around, but it is not displayed by Thumbtack when I requested the quote. Said would apply the quote fee to the work; instead applied half of the quote fee ($100)

I had a pipe break which resulted in dozens gallons of water spilling out from the laundry housing during usage. TCH arrived, analyzed the situation and quoted me fair. The professionals arrived in my requested date early and completed the project efficiently. I took off for work an when I returned everything was cleaned up and the piping worked like a charm. Highly recommend!
DO THE ENTIRE JOB THE WAY YOU WERE ASKED TO DO AND CORRECTLY. NO TRANSFER SWITCH. I HAVE TO PAY ANOTHER ELECTRICIAN FOR A SAFETY INSPECTION BECAUSE THE LEFT MY SETUP WITH A POSSIBLE FIRE HAZARD. ALSO IM NOT SURE IF ITS UP TO CODE ANYMORE AFTER THEY WERE DONE.

I had a bathroom window frame that was cracked and damaged to repair that bottom frame it cost $240. They were in, ran to Lowe's and we're back and complete in 1 hours and ten minutes. Great communication and did not waste time.

Requested an estimate about installing drywall only after construction of two rooms where we replaced two windows - 6 sheets of 12' drywall max. After declining $100 service call fee, I sent pictures of the area to be done. I received an estimate of $4800 which included everything from picking up drywall (was stated in the estimate), doing electrical work (not asked), caulking (not asked), 2 guys doing mud and sanding for 3 days, etc. I am glad I did not do the service call - this is a rip off.
Tyler and his team were terrific! We needed someone to remove very aggressive fig vine growth from our townhome in Downtown Savannah, as well as growth that had extended around the courtyard. The team showed up exactly when they said they would and did a terrific job -- and it was a big one . I higly recommend!!
