Working with John has been a headache. Most of the work is passable but he cuts corners every opportunity he gets. Now what was supposed to be our dream basement is meh. The dry wall texturing is terrible and when confronted John just said well I don’t have any crews who can do a better job. It’s hard to find good drywallers. All of the paint in the basement is streaky and uneven. There are three different styles of AC vent he installed for some reason. When things were damaged rather than replace them he just painted over them. I asked several times to replace socket covers that were painted over, that never got done. The plumbing work has already leaked once, and the quality of the other plumbing looks questionable. Every door is chopped up on the bottom and poorly painted. You can still see the unpainted door color on some of them. The trim was painted only on the front and was the cheapest quality possible so while even trying to mop any water touching the trim causes it to swell and discolor. On top of all of that the job took 3 times longer than quoted to the point we were just ready to have him out of our house. He does respond after the fact but mostly just to yell about how hard it is to find people and how the poor quality of work isn’t his fault. If you are looking for low quality finishes go for it, otherwise please use someone else.

John and Marco did an excellent job installing all lights, changing switches, and converting outlets. They had, by far, the best value for the money than any other quote. Will definitely use them again! Thanks, John!
It’s rare to find a contractor that you feel you can completely trust, but TechWPS offers just that. John is honest, intelligent, communicates clearly, and is solution oriented. He spends the time to clarify what he’s going to work on and then walks you through the finished job (a rarity). We have hired his company twice now and he will be our ‘go-to’ moving forward. Another major benefit is that John offers a wide array of services as he essentially has all trades available to him - plumbing, electrical, drywall etc so he’s a one-stop-shop.
Finishing a basement was very stressful to us but found techwps and had a such great experience with John. Hugh quality work with good pricing. You won’t be disappointed. Was very helpful through the entire process I’d recommend him to anyone. Very pleased with entire process.
I really liked how TechWPS put together a line itemed code based quote. John helped us with different layouts and was very helpful in design suggestions. John and his guys throughout the work were very friendly, knowledgable and professional. I felt like I knew exactly how each stage was progressing and the budget was maintained throughout the project. The estimate and what was charged never changed. I was really impressed that TechWPS didn't try to add things during the project, like some other contractors try. The workmanship was great and when there were finishing touches to be made at the end, John pointed them out to me before I even saw them. The drywall guys came back a couple of times to do walk throughs and I really appreciated their attention to detail to make my walls just right. I really like how the basement turned out, especially the bathroom and wine closet! I recommend John and his team.
John the owner of WPS was great to work with, however, his workers were a little messy at times, although I have never been thru a remodel of this nature, so maybe understandable.
We are very pleased with the work John did. He doesn't delegate the work to someone else. You know who will be there day to day doing the work on your basement. He kept us informed throughout the entire process on what the next steps were going to be so we never felt like we were left in the dark. The end result was exactly what we were looking for!
I recently bought a house that had no light on one entire half of the house. John installed recessed lights and a ceiling fan box with minimal drywall damage. He even brought patches to patch the spots he had to cut. He did an awesome job and got the project done in just a day and a half. It's great having light in the house now. I'll definitely use him again for other electrical projects around the house.
John was great to work with. He got back to me very quickly and was very accommodating with scheduling and was very knowledgeable about the questions and goals I had for the project. He was very professional and I trusted what he was doing. It’s an older house and there were some challenges but he got through it and the final product turned out great!
John was able to take out and replace a cracked sink. Excellent response time.
