So far I have taken 4 lessons with Coach Amir and having tried 2-3 other coaches beforehand, I can say he knows what he is doing. He adapts to your needs and asks about your focus so he can devise a plan. I’ve asked him to help me work on my topspin so far and can tell it’s progressing very nicely. He is also kind and gives you extra time in the lesson so long as it doesn’t overlap with another student. As a relative beginner (1 year in) I have so much more to work on and will be putting my trust in Amir to quickly grow my skills. Thankful to have found coach Amir!

Coach Amir is the most passionate and dedicated tennis coach you’ll find in houston. TX. Compared to other coaches, he is in a different class in terms of his ability to accurately identify areas of improvement and then show you the most effective and efficient way to get results. every lesson was enlightening and insightful. - Autumn
Coach Amir has an incredible grasp on all aspects of the game, including technique, match strategy, and mentality. He has a methodical approach that caters to the student's specific needs, with effective drills that focus on each element of the game. He demonstrates an ability to break down each aspect of the tennis strokes in detail, with an in-depth explanation of the mechanics. The structure of the lessons is intuitive and effective for the quickest path to improvement. Since he self-taught himself how to play and achieved a very high level in the sport, he knows what drills and strategy work.
I would not recommend this coach, primarily because he is unreliable and cancels classes ALL the time. We just gave up scheduling because it was always something. Canceled due to rain, he wasn’t feeling well, uncle getting married, cousin getting married, etc. it was excessive and several parents I met felt the same. Save your money!!
Amir is a great coach who has a very structured approach to coaching young athletes. Every learning element has a purpose and hence the experience of learning goes well when you have all the Why’s answered. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to take their tennis level to new heights
Really enjoyed my lesson. He was very professional, punctual and helpful. I've only had one lesson but I've seen the instructor teaching mean other students in the past and that triggered me to look for him. I was not disappointed at all. Worth the price!
Amir will undoubtedly believe that I couldn't wait to give him a low rating — which is funny since I started out with 4, and I'd be happy to give him 5 in facets strictly on time tennis alone. But the heading asks, "How would you rate your overall experience?" I would much prefer multiple metrics with stars, so that I could properly differentiate between his coaching, management, and leadership skills. So I'll do it on my own: — On tennis time alone: 5 — As an instructor facing my forehand problem (explained in the story that follows): 4 It's not 4 because he didn't solve it — it's 4 because he has some weaknesses in his approach (which I fully explain). "How can The Coaching Vault (Tennis & Fitness) Academy improve in the future?" You're about to find out. If you'd like to read the whole story, please visit the link in the attached image — and here's the intro: ******************* "People want an authority to tell them how to value things, but they choose this authority not based on facts or results. They choose it because it seems authoritative and familiar — and I’m not and never have been familiar." — Michael Burry, The Big Short On results alone, Amir Rahbar is a great tennis coach at his academy The Coaching Vault here in Houston. If that’s all you care about, then my review won’t matter. But the facts of this situation are largely being seen through the prism of those results (along with the positive history people have with him). However outstanding that history may be — it doesn’t absolve Amir of miserably failing to live up to the expectations of character he set (or even the bare-bones minimum in my book). I come from a different place. A different time. A different way of life. "And I’m not and never have been familiar." Guaranteed, Amir was about to have a fit the second he saw that opening quote and keyed in on “results”: Ready to roll out the rankings, championships, and trophies to toot his horn with his backing band. Never mind that’s got nothin’ to do with it . . .
Amir is an excellent coach. He's super knowledgeable and is able to give specific feedback with quick results. He has a great understanding of the underlying mechanics of tennis and gives an intuitive explanation for everything he teaches. I've learned a ton so far and look forward to continuing to learn from Coach Amir.
I just recently started taking lessons with Coach Amir, and I was already learning so much just after my first lesson. I only played tennis casually in high school, and now I'm trying to get back into it. So he focused on correcting my form and using visuals to explain the steps. This helps a lot since I'm a visual learner. Coach Amir is very patient and adjusts the lessons and personalize them depending on the student and current progress.
Great experience with coach Amir. Very personable and knowledgeable and I felt he gave the right amount of correction and guidance while still remaining very positive. Highly recommend
