I honestly don’t even know where to begin because there aren’t enough good things I can say about Barry! He was absolutely incredible, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. From the beginning, he was so easy to work with, professional, and on top of everything. But seeing him in action on our wedding day was something else entirely! Barry kept our dance floor packed ALL night long! His transitions from song to song and from one “scene” to the next were absolutely phenomenal. He just got it. He knew how to keep the energy going, get everyone involved, and make the entire night feel so natural and fun. We even had some less-than-traditional requests, and Barry was right there with us, making it all happen! He never missed a beat and truly made the night feel like us. From the ceremony music to the last song on the dance floor, everything was perfect. He somehow managed to keep every generation out there dancing, and we had so many guests tell us afterward how much fun they had. That means so much to us, and we know Barry had a huge part in making our wedding such an amazing experience. Looking back, choosing TheMusicMann was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Barry didn’t just play music — he helped create the atmosphere, the memories, and the kind of night we’ll be talking about for years to come. Barry at Themusicmann was such an amazing down-to-earth human being who DJed at our wedding on 5/25/24. His down-to-earth personality and genuine professionalism truly made him stand out. Throughout the planning process, Barry was incredibly attentive and accommodating, making sure our musical tastes were flawlessly woven into the playlist. Barry's seamless blend of American and Cambodian music catered to both sides of our heritage with such finesse. It was as if he had a sixth sense, always knowing just the right song to play or announcement to make, always anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. Barry's thoughtfulness extended beyond the music itself. Not only did he ensure the music was lively enough to keep everyone entertained, but he also took great care to make sure our guests seated nearby were comfortable, adjusting the volume just right so as not to disrupt their conversations. He took requests with no problem, adding an extra layer of enjoyment for our guests. It's the little touches like this that truly set him apart. He truly cared about us and our guests. Even at a wedding with 80% Cambodian and Chinese guests, he was able to get them dancing and having a good time. He also tried to help calm us down when we were so nervous about our first dance. This is the kind of guy you want at your wedding. Barry's attention to detail and genuine care for our guests made our wedding truly unforgettable. Barry communicated with us frequently leading up to and during our wedding. Encouraged us to send as many requests as we wanted to and made changes as we requested. He coordinated the evening perfectly with the other hired staff and kept the reception party going even after we had to unexpectedly leave. He also took many pictures throughout the night and honestly, did better than our hired photographer. Barry, maybe moonlight as a photographer?? I give him a minimum🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟’s and have already booked him for our Halloween party!! Thanks Barry!!
Barry was an excellent DJ for our opening day Little League parade. His equipment was powerful enough so everyone could hear. Highly recommend
He arrived on time and set up time was minimal. Things didn't go as planned but Barry just rolled with the changes. He played all the songs on our playlist and played songs that satisfied all the age groups, I saw people on the dance floor that NEVER dance. A great time was had by all thanks to Barry-The Musicmann. I would recommend him to anyone in search of a DJ.
My wife and I chose Barry for our wedding because he responded promptly, and professionally. Barry was very easy to work with from the start. His prices were more than reasonable, and he was flexible. With his 40 plus years of experience, it shows. He played the list of songs we gave him, and filled the play list with the style of music we requested be played. He took initiative, was structured, organized, and open to change though out the entire booking including the day of the wedding. For example he gave input on where the best placement would be for him to set up, coordinated with other vendors, directed tables in orderly fashion at dinner. He realized we did not select a time for the cutting of the cake. He approached us and asked when it would be and had a song already pick out and made sure we approved. Our quests commented on how personable, and energetic he was on the microphone. He made the transition smooth from the cocktail hour, to dinner, to dancing. We had our wedding performed outdoors on my farm. Barry arrived a half hour early to set up and we had time to discuss the songs we preferred. He is very experienced and professional and made excellent suggestions when we asked him for his advice. Barry has thousands of songs to choose from and that made the wedding party after the ceremony so much fun. We danced for hours under the stars. He also surprised us by taking beautiful pictures of everyone during the party and gave them to us at the end of the evening. Thank you Music Mann for making our wedding so special and exactly what we wanted. We highly recommend this gentleman and his services and will definitely contact him for parties in the future.
Barry was the DJ for our wedding on November 7, 2020. He was easy to communicate with from the very beginning, and worked closely with us to understand our needs. He asked us in advance for our playlist and made sure that he had them and played them all. He helped make sure that our timeline ran smoothly. We couldn’t have asked for more. He even gave us a surprise CD to keep with all of the songs that we asked for on our playlist. Not only is he great DJ, he is also a wonderful photographer. He took a lot of really nice quality pictures of our ceremony and reception. He even loaded them onto his Facebook page the very next day. Which made them easy to share with family and friends. We are so happy that we found him. He really helped make our day special and very easy.
