I put in the notes that a ladder may be required, and then he showed up without a ladder and was unable to do the job, and was rude to me because he couldn’t complete the job.

About Tom Smiela
My name is Tomasz, call me Tom. Why Hire Me as Your Handyman? I’m a retired Las Vegas performer and circus acrobat with a career spanning since 1990 across five continents. Behind every show is a world of engineering, problem-solving, and craftsmanship — and that’s been my second language for over three decades. I still work with Las Vegas productions as a technical specialist, designing, building, and maintaining props, equipment, and machinery of every kind. From delicate electronic circuits to large-scale wood and steel structures, I’ve built it, fixed it, or rigged it. That hands-on versatility is exactly what I bring to your home. Since 2020, I’ve been putting those skills to work as a handyman — and it’s become one of the most rewarding chapters of my career. Helping everyday homeowners get things done without breaking their budget is genuinely satisfying, especially for people who need quality work at a fair price. What I can do for you: • Fix toilets, faucets, and plumbing issues • Adjust and repair cabinets and doors • Hang window treatments, TVs, shelves, and artwork • Install light fixtures and run hidden wiring • Replace locks and hardware • Build, repair, or modify custom items in wood, metal, or electronics • Tackle the odd jobs other handymen avoid My promise: If I say I can do it, I’ll deliver. If something needs adjusting after the job, I’ll come back on warranty. And I won’t break your budget. Backstage life taught me one thing above all else: when the curtain goes up, problems get solved — fast, creatively, and without excuses. That mindset is what I bring to every home I work in. Let’s get your project done right.

Excellent experience! He was professional, punctual, and did a great job installing my curtain rods. Everything is level, secure, and looks fantastic.
