Remodeling a home can be as stressful as buying a home. When Mike came over to do an estimate, he was super attentive, friendly and consultative. He wasn't pushy, but kind in helping me make the best decision. You'll see in the attached pictures how quality floors change the whole feel of a home and Mike and his team hit it out of the park. Top Knot did a high quality job installing new engineered hardwood flooring throughout most of our house (1550 sq. ft.) as well as refinishing three bedrooms (500 sq. ft.). They were punctual, professional and worked with our schedule to get the job done within the timeframe we were aiming for. Their pricing was fair and reasonable. Mike has not started the project yet, we just hired him a few days ago. What I want to share is my experience so far. It's been great. Mike is so knowledgeable about flooring and he just wanted to educate us on our options. We went to his showroom in Walnut Creak and he had a great variety of samples and he explained the pros and cons of each one. He was very professional and gave us a fair price for the scope of the project. Others were less expensive the. Top Knot but I just know from the way Mike presented himself during the sales process that he will do an amazing job on my basement floor. So excited to get started.

We had hardwood floors installed and were very happy with the quality of work. We appreciated the attention to details. A few times, the crew stopped and asked if a piece of wood was suitable to install. During the estimate, we went over the need to reroute a cable and they were able to do it. We were relieved that we didn't have to hire an electrician. I would have appreciated knowing when they were coming to work...however, they finished in the time frame that was given. I would recommend using them again.

Spoke to Mike on a Tuesday in October 2016 and explained a scheduled floor guy from Craigslist had flaked on me. He was able to squeeze me in and started on installing my floors the very next day! His workers Jaime and Javier worked very hard and completed the install of my luxury vinyl planks and baseboards in 5 business days. I'm very happy with their work and would refer them to anybody needing floors installed.

Top Knot refinished all of the hardwood floors in our house. Mike brought a creative suggestion for the staining and we are excited about the results. Our 50 year old floors now look updated and our guests can't believe they are original.

Mike and his crew restored the original hardwoods in our home and they look absolutely gorgeous! His work was neat and fast- he was in and out of our house in two days and he had 800 sq ft to sand and seal. Beautiful work at a reasonable price!
