About Tutoring
I have been teaching students in Korea and in the United States for many years. I also have experience volunteering in after-school programs, Sunday school teacher, summer and winter camp counseling. I have Preliminary Single Subject Teaching Credentials in Math and Science and Pre-Teacher Certificate from the United States. I also have a Master Degree in Science Education, a National Teaching License in Science and Chemistry, and a Life-Long Education Counselor License from Korea. I really enjoy teaching, sharing the knowledge with students and see them succeed. With my experience, I have the ability to develop a good rapport and trust with the student, and understand their weaknesses in Math, and help them overcome their struggle and become successful. Most importantly, I make students grow a passion for the subject, so that they can learn on their own afterwards.

Kim is a great Korean Tutor! I was really nervous getting lessons on learning Korean because it is something new to me and I know absolutely nothing. Within the first few minutes of meeting and starting the class with Kim, I wasn't nervous. She makes you feel super comfortable and she is super patient with you. All in all, I will definitely be continuing my lessons with her and I HIGHLY recommend you have Kim as a tutor! :)
Kim is an excellent tutor and has helped our daughter get a better foundation and understanding in Algebra 2. She has a way of breaking it down so that it is easier to understand. She is very patient and works through each concept slowly. She works through practice problems to ensure proficiency. My daughter has felt encouraged by the way Kim celebrates her successes and is much more confident in Algebra since working with Kim. I would absolutely recommend Kim to anyone. She is fantastic!
I believe I have picked the best tutor possible to learn a new language. I've had two lessons so far and have gained so much knowledge already. Minok Kim holds me accountable by giving me homework/study material and tests me when we meet. I believe Minok Kim will get me to my goal in being fluent in Korean language.

Teacher Kim is awesome! My 12 year old son was struggling with pre-algebra. As a result he developed an unhealthy dislike for math. She worked with him to improve his knowledge and skills. He brought home his math test last week and he received an "A". He was very excited! He likes math and feels confident in his abilities now. He even likes to help his younger brother with his math!
Teacher Kim is prompt when responding and for appointments. She is diligent, keeps students focused, asks ahead of time for what problems students need help with and she enjoys her work with my kids.
Minok Kim is always polite and professional. She is patient when explaining new concepts and always comes to our tutoring sessions prepared. I especially appreciate how she plans personalized materials for each lesson depending on what I need most.
Our two middle school daughters really enjoy the sessions with Teacher Kim. She prepares thoroughly for each session and has been excellent in accommodating our preferred times for the sessions. Overall two thumbs up!
Minok is very thoughtful, thorough, and knowledgeable. She began her tutoring of our two kids (3rd and 5th grade) with an assessment exam that allowed her to understand what our kids knew so she could structure an appropriate lesson plan for each of them. Our younger child in particular was so excited to learn more math, but when she took the exam she got upset about making a few mistakes: Minok was very gentle with her and now our she looks forward to every lesson! My wife and I are very happy with how much our children our learning with Minok.
Minok is an excellent math tutor for my daughter. Beginning of the school year my daughter has had some difficulties with her trig-algebra 2 class. She would like to improve her grade and prepare for finals. Minok came in fully prepared. I really appreciate that she genuinely cares about the student and she spent a lot of time preparing her class ahead of the time. Usually she will check with my daughter with what is on going in her class, and by time of tutoring she came with extra materials and practice to help the kids. By doing tutorial with her once a week, She was able to help my daughter improve her grade from B to an A and so far in the new trimester my daughter has been getting all As in her math test. We are very happy with her and will highly recommend her to all my friends.
My daughter really enjoys having Minok as a tutor. Minok is very thorough, extremely positive, and above all a great teacher. We hope to work with her permenantly.
Minok is an excellent math tutor for my 8th grader. My daughter feels comfortable with her, their communication is great, and Minok really cares about my daughter succeeding in math. She comes prepared and on time. I highly recommend her.
Teacher Kim just started to teach my son algebra and geometry. She figured out his level by testing him and understood what they should work on. She is professional, nice as a person and very punctual. My son enjoys the lessons.
