My experience with United Home Chimney Services was disappointing. I booked two chimney cleanings at $145 each, but once the technician arrived, he said we needed Stage 2 cleanings at ~$400 each. Since we’re new to the home and assumed the previous owner had done some maintenance, I agreed to proceed for a thorough check. The technician finished both flues in about 45 minutes, frequently checking his phone. Very little soot came out, and I questioned the value of paying over $800+ for such a quick rotary cleaning. What bothered me most was the lack of care: he shook off the dirty floor covers right outside my front door, left the door cracked open, and soot landed on my indoor mat and porch. He didn’t clean it up—I had to do it myself before the rain made it worse. Based on my experience, their transparency, professionalism, and customer care are lacking. I would not recommend this company, and get another quote if they offer different services after arriving the site.
I had my annual chimney cleaning with United Home Service, they did me a quick inspection and then cleaned it. The cleaning work is efficient, and shared some findings after inspection with corresponding estimation which is helpful for long term maintenance. Very Solid service!
The guy who swept my chimney wouldn't put the cap back on that this company didnt connect properly last year and it flew off my chimney.

They came out within a day of me trying to get my outdoor fireplace fixed at an Airbnb before my next guests arrived. They fixed it within 30 minutes and charged me less than the amount quoted. I also decided to have them fix another interior fireplace. They performed extra safety checks on both fireplaces.
Sean came over on time and was done very FAST. He took time to explain and fix the root cause of soot buildup on the glass of our gas fireplace. He looked up the proper log position for our unit and rearranged to prevent soot in the future. Top notch service!
We messaged United Home Services for a routine chimney sweep when it was identified as recommended on our new home inspection. The team came out within a couple days of messaging and took one look and recommended that we needed a deep chimney clean and explained the risks and issues of using our wood fire place in its current condition. Shawn showed us pictures of its current state and explained everything to us very well. They also told us our chimney chase crown was very rusted, as well, and at risk of leak and told us they could order, replace, and install that. The whole process took ~3 weeks and we have had some lovely wood fires ever since (with a clear conscious!). We’ll definitely use this team for our annual chimney sweeps. Great value, clean and friendly staff!
These guys were prompt and clear about their quote and the scope of their work, and the prices seemed fair. They were great about wearing masks, and they were careful to do the work when weather would not way it away. The only hiccup was that scheduling was challenging. Due to weather we had to reschedule several times (nobody's fault!), but I would have appreciated more communication through the scheduling and rescheduling. For example, a confirmation text to say what time they would show up the next day after the first day for rained out.
Excellent service. Very responsive and only delayed by rain. Repaired flue & crown, and installed damper & cap.
