Do not hire him. He will do little to nothing other than collect fees and fail to file your returns. He doesn’t answer calls most of the time. Made up an excuse for lack of communication due to a family emergency. I paid him to file multiple years of returns he filed one and just kept my money. Beware.

TL;DR: We were clients of Vik for several years, but after he made significant errors on our 2025 tax return, he failed to correct them for months despite repeated follow-ups by email, phone, and WhatsApp. We ultimately had to hire another CPA, who discovered that our New York return had been prepared incorrectly and had never been filed. Communication only resumed after I disputed the credit card charge, and even then no meaningful resolution was provided. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend his services. We had been clients of Vik for several years without major issues, which made this experience especially disappointing. For our 2025 tax return, our federal return was filed, but our New York taxes were not handled correctly. Despite providing our correct residency information, our return was prepared as though we were not New York City residents. As a result, our New York City taxes were reported incorrectly, and we were initially told to expect approximately a $10,000 refund when the correct refund was closer to $1,000. We later hired another CPA, who confirmed these issues and also discovered that our New York State return had never been filed. As soon as we realized something was wrong, we contacted Vik and asked that the errors be corrected. Instead of promptly resolving the matter, weeks turned into months. We repeatedly followed up by email, phone, and WhatsApp. While I understand that personal emergencies can happen, the lack of communication and follow-through continued long after the initial explanation, and we were never given a clear timeline or informed that he was unable to complete the work so that we could hire someone else. Communication throughout the process was extremely frustrating. Many messages went unanswered. At one point, Vik claimed he did not monitor the email address we had been using, even though he had previously responded from that same account, and we had copied other members of his office as well. When he did respond, he often said he would "check," promised that the issue would be "sorted today," or asked follow-up questions, but then failed to provide any update or resolution. I have months of emails, WhatsApp messages, and phone call records documenting these repeated follow-ups. Rather than acknowledging the filing errors or explaining what had happened, I was repeatedly told that I simply needed to be more patient. By that point, however, more than three months had passed after the filing deadline. We were not asking for anything new, we were asking for mistakes on our tax return to be corrected. The only time communication resumed consistently was after I disputed the credit card charge with my bank. Instead of focusing on resolving the tax issues, I was told that I should withdraw the dispute and was informed that, in his ten years of practice, no client had ever filed a chargeback. Shortly afterward, he declined to continue working on our case. Finally, we requested a refund, asked that our data be deleted, and offered to resolve the matter directly without involving the credit card company. Those requests were refused. Everyone makes mistakes. What matters is how those mistakes are handled. If Vik had acknowledged the error, communicated honestly, and either corrected the return promptly or told us he was unable to do so, this review likely would not exist. Instead, months of delays, poor communication, broken promises, and a lack of accountability forced us to hire another CPA and left us with no confidence in the service we received. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend his services.
Vik, and Kimberly, call me back and took my information with which to prepare a tax statement. I emailed sensitive follow-up tax documents and that is when progress stopped. I kept messaging through the app and he replied once indicating that he would provide my document. From that point, he ghost me. Fortunately, before I was out of any money. His heavily accented English is difficult to understand and he is possibly working from abroad because they preferred zoom, which I declined, instead of an office visit.
Terrible social skills. Do not work with these people.

The most unprofessional Tax consultant ever I have dealt with. Absolutely rude behavior and tone over the phone and messages. He doesn’t have any checklist and expect the clients to send him all the docs. He basically wants clients to do his job for them. After sending all the docs, he kept asking for the same docs over and over again without even looking for them and got very angry at me. He sent me invoice for filing the taxes and when I asked for a copy to review, he never responded back. Thumbtack needs to remove him. He may be good for clients that have basic and regular tax filing. He totally had no clue for my case. Update:- He is not only unprofessional, but a liar from his response below that I reached out to him on Apr9 th. Attaching the screenshots of our exchange that shows I reached out on April 2nd and also pushing him as well. If there is a new client, then they need to get all the information that they need. How is the client supposed to know what information you need and when I asked that his response was "Is this your first time doing the taxes". I also asked whether he can do my taxes on time, and there was no response. If he had told me right there, then I would have gone elsewhere and also, why would you expect someone to pay you without reviewing their taxes? And this pattern is common in all your bad reviews.

Waste of time. I spent 5-6 hours for everything they need at the end, no outcome from their side. Don’t waste your time and money.
He was very quick to respond. He was honest about not being familiar with my particular type of business and knew we would not be a good fit. So I appreciated the fact he didn't want to just take my money and not be able to give me the best service but be willing to let me move on to find someone else that could help me better.
Vic had no knowledge or credentials of Quickbooks. He took advance deposit of $500. Did not achieve any work for me and did not return the money. He was also busy on personal calls from family while working.
