A Priceless Gift — Exceptional Service During an Incredibly Difficult Time I recently experienced the most heartbreaking and unexpected loss — my husband passed away suddenly at just 35 years old. As you can imagine, planning a Celebration of Life under such emotional circumstances, and doing it all last-minute, was incredibly overwhelming. One of the most important things to me was capturing this day — not just for myself, but especially for our two very young children, who are just 3 years old and 6 months old. I wanted them to have something to look back on when they’re older — to hear the stories, the love, the memories that people shared about their dad. With very little time, I came across Vikrant Photography on Thumbtack. He had great reviews, and from our very first conversation, I could tell he was someone I could trust. We spoke twice before the event, and what stood out to me was how intentional he was about understanding my vision and what truly mattered to me. He didn’t just treat this like another job — he listened with compassion and professionalism, and it was clear he genuinely cared about delivering something meaningful. Initially, I hired him for videography — I had requested two videographers to make sure every moment was captured. Less than 12 hours before the event, I realized how important it was to also have photography. I reached out, unsure if it was even possible to make that change so last minute, but Vikrant immediately stepped in. He rearranged his own schedule so that he could personally photograph the event while his team handled the videography. That kind of flexibility, especially in such short notice, was incredible. His pricing was more than fair — especially considering the urgency of the situation — and at no point did I feel like he was taking advantage of the circumstances. On the contrary, he treated the entire process with integrity, respect, and care. After the event, he even hand-delivered the final drive with the photos and videos, since he lived nearby — another personal touch that meant a lot. The final result was everything I hoped for. The quality of the photos and videos was excellent, but more than that — his team managed to capture the emotion of the day. The speeches, the hugs, the laughter through tears… these are moments I will cherish forever, and more importantly, my children will one day be able to witness the impact their father had on others. That is absolutely priceless. I cannot recommend Vikrant and his team enough. They went above and beyond in one of the most sensitive and emotional times of my life. They were professional, talented, and above all — kind. I will absolutely be hiring them again for future photography or videography needs, and I’m deeply grateful for what they provided for my family. Vik was absolutely prompt in responding. He made the whole process so easy. I wanted high school graduation shots outside in center city. We took 2 hours of pics, had two outfit changes and at least two falls in impossible heels and a teenage semi meltdown and Vik kept the whole experience fun, pleasant and under control (we are a melodramatic family). lol We are so excited to see our images! i can’t thank Vik and Isaac enough. I acquired Vikrant Photography for a surprise Engagement shoot for my best friend and her fiancé. Vik has posted wonderful work hence why I was so excited to have him do the shoot. However, on the day of the engagement photo shoot Vik had provided me with another photographer, that he initially claimed to be another photographer at his studio. I was under the impression the Vik would take our photos, but I was only notified a few days prior that he would be sending his “assitant”. Ultimately, the shoot did not go well and the quality of photos were not suitable for the price that was paid. Below I have shared the disappointing details of this shoot. Beginning with the photographers tardiness, unprofessionalism with the clients, and initial missed engagement photos. I am still waiting to here back from Vikrant Photography regarding either a reimbursement or new session. It has been more than 3 months since I have heard from Vikrant Photography. Details regarding my disappointment in our services: For starters, your assistant arrived late at the location. His late entry caused immense confusion and presented a sense of anxiety for (Client A- the one who was proposing) and me as we scrambled to make sure (Client B - best friend) did not run into her fiancé and the photographer. Furthermore, I had to bring her to the opposite end of the garden to eliminate the odds of her running into Duvon. With this in mind, we had to walk back to the fountain area once Duvon had given us the “okay”. Secondly, Bryant missed the initial moment that Client A approached Client B because he was more concerned about finishing our conversation rather than ensuring his focal points were receiving his undivided attention as the photographer. He had abruptly advanced toward me once Client B, my friend, and I had arrived in the fountain area; rather than waiting for us to meet him at the stairs. During this interaction, Client B instantly spotted Duvon out of the corner of her eye thus causing Duvon to reconcile the situation by approaching his fiancé. Additionally, your assistant was interacting with me rather than focusing on the events transpiring. Based on the photos that you have provided there is only one candid photo of Duvon on his knee and one other posed photo. Hence, it reveals the photographer was unprepared to capture this moment. This photo in our opinion inadequately captured the essence of the future bride’s reaction. Client A and Client B were disappointed in the quality after reviewing the content of the photos. In some photos Client A and Client B can be seen trying to situation their positions and facial expressions thus creating awkward moments reflected in the photography. Thirdly, your photographer unsuccessfully used the scenery as an aesthetic element for the engagement photos. For example, the photo of the ring on her hand is taken in shadows. This caused an overcast and imbalance in lighting. Your photographer asked me if I had any ideas for poses as if he was unsure what he should be doing. I provided him with some casual suggestions concerning the use of the fountains as a backdrop, which he ultimately did not end up doing because he left the session abruptly. Client B and Client A had also mentioned to me that he was not as attentive as they had hoped while taking photos. In fact, he would ask them to hold the poses and then turn away from them and engage in other conversations as they held the poses for an extensive amount of time. A portion of the session time was inefficiently used following instructions to walk into the conservatory rather than using the vast fountain area where we were already stationed at. Fourthly, Mr. Bryant spent an excessive amount of time arguing with me and calling me “the mediator” for him following our phone conversation rather than taking photos. I expressed that I am a customer and I did not appreciate him asking me to "mediate" certain conversations. I had to insist several times that he speak with you on the phone after our conversation instead of ordering us to pay him an extra $125. There was a problem and he chose to stall and converse rather than finish his job. Client A and I felt incredibly belittled and exploited as he continuously argued rather than take the time to do his job. He began to manipulate the situation and cast blame on and me for his lack of professionalism and ill-preparedness. He asked me questions about what I did for a living and went as far as to express his disapproval of my job choice and religious lifestyle. Longwood Gardens is one of the most beautiful Botanical Gardens on the east coast. Client A and client B are an extraordinary and easy-going couple to work with. They have expressed their level of disapproval to me and therefore I wanted to reach out to you as we have already been in communication. I typically do not go as far as to express my dissatisfaction with a service. However, everyone had noted the unprofessionalism that transpired on Saturday, and their dissapointment in the final products. The photos listed at just 3/47 photos taken. Many which had horrible lighting or inadequate angles
