This was not a pleasant experience. Not sure if VKH contracted out the move or not, but these ARE NOT professional movers! While the guys were nice, the move took nearly 10 hours!!! Couch, lamp, desk, shelving unit is broken, mattresses dirty, boxes labeled heavy were on top of boxes labeled fragile, most of the boxes were thrown in the basement and garage for us to figure out, furniture scratched up…and let’s not talk about the walls and the floors that were destroyed in the process. Almost $2k for a local move. I would expect better. Honestly could have hired someone outside at UHaul.

Terrible experience. It took 14 hours to move 30 mins away. Movers lacked experience and broke multiple items including a brand new couch, a freezer, a fridge, and a bunch of kitchen items. Owner did provide a discount in the end to save himself from the insurance claims but it was a terrible experience that should never have happened.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great experience with VKH Movers! When the original movers didn’t show up, Vlad quickly rectified the situation and made sure another crew came out. The movers were professional, efficient, and careful with my belongings. I really appreciated how Vlad handled everything and made a stressful day much easier. Highly recommend!

Outstanding service and plan to contact them again in a few months when I need my items transferred from a storage unit back into an apt. If you want your stuff destroyed you’ve found the perfect moving company for it. My $200 tv stand is ruined and so is my $1000 mattress since the movers didn’t put any protection on it. I haven’t even gone through any boxes so I can only imagine how much other stuff has been broken and destroyed. Do not use this company.
These guys were just awesome! They moved EVERYTHING from my town home including a 270 lbs Nordictrack exercise bike from the 2nd floor of my house in less than 2 hours. In my new home they had to carry EVERYTHING again in the humid heat, going up FIVE (5) very steep flights of stairs, including that exercise bike. They were fast and focused, but also friendly. I highly recommend VKH Movers! Thank you for making my move stress-free and positive!

Donnell and helper were fantastic help today with packing my 1 bedroom into a pod for a cross country move. I had a high priority to protect the furniture I inherited from my grandparents and they did a fantastic job wrapping and packing the pod in a very organized way!
I would like to express how much this situation has caused me anxiety. From being yelled at by the owner in the middle of the night to being ‘tricked’ into half the service for twice the pay to having property damaged.. put a damper on moving into our new home. After trying to negotiate finally costs, I was told that if I wanted to make a claim for damages- I would have to pay over $1400 from a $500 quote. One person says one thing and then the owner tries to bully you into something else. Just a very disappointing experience

They lost several of my large items, and didnt put together my furniture correctly - my bed fell apart as soon as they left. They didn’t even apologize when shown proof - they were rude and unprofessional. They take 0 pride in their work.

Unfortunately, I cannot give the 5 star review I have waited and wanted to give because after the damage to my sideboard the owner Vlad has not followed through with the compensation of $250 (which is low and I still accepted this price) that was agreed upon per the " claims department". I have been told that a check was in the mail. Then two weeks later that the address was wrong and now the check is on its way. That was about three weeks ago. We paid them via Cash app so I have even provided that as an easy form of payment. At this point they have gone silent and Vlad nor the manager Sean are responding. I liked the movers but the way this has been handled by management is unacceptable. I am doing a BBB claim today as well.
They booked the wrong day (had my move day one day late). I have the screen shot of thumbtack with the correct date. VKH called it a “miscommunication”. Sent a 16 ft truck instead of a 26 ft truck later on during the correct day. Move took two trips instead of one trip. That extended the time. Still billed me for the extra time. When I tried to work it out, the manager just yelled at me and said that the incorrect day was my fault. I asked him to make it right- he did not. I would look elsewhere for your services. Oh. Make sure to book your carpet cleaner at your old and new house too. Floor liner was only used for the first 2 steps of the house.
Pros - Movers were easy to book, communicated professionally about anticipated arrival time, and worked quickly. It started out GREAT and I'd anticipated recommending this company to a friend. Cons - Left 3+ deep scrapes in newly refinished hardwood flooring (some minor, easy-to-clean marks on the walls, etc., are to be expected, but I was really disappointed about this one seeing as I'd just spent a few thousand on the flooring work). Removed masks for second half of the job and did not respect social distancing. Overall, they got the job done, but I was disappointed.
Great experience!! They were available in less than 24 hours to assist me in moving items from my truck to a storage unit. A previous job they were at ran late and they called me to let me know, which I appreciated. They got there are were done in less than 10 mins - everything was handled carefully, they were super professional and really nice. Will for sure use these guys when I’m ready to move the items into my new house!
The movers were professional and and cool in term of packing and all that. The problem i had with this move was estimate which was 58% more than what was quoted ( from $275- $325) to a $560. Obviously , i was not happy with this since business wise estimate should be 80% accurate. I believe the breakdown in communication was when the quote was transferred to the VKH website which the room size was wrong and i called to rectify this and also confirmed a week in advance. Only two guys were sent and I honestly believe one more person should’ve came to avoid a 3+hour move. In the past i moved this same bedroom size in more than half the time and i didnt have to lift a finger. Me and my wife had to pitch in because it was taking too long.This situation left me on the bad end of it in terms of cost and not having the right man power to get it done. I just want to leave this here as a learning lesson. Im use to quotes being within what is discussed business wise or a little above not 58% more than the estimate...thats unacceptable. Summary: This is just my fair honest opinion about this move. Everything looks nice face value but the quote and the resolution of a 10% discount is unfair to me as a customer. Respectfully
