About WizKid Tutoring:Math/Science/Computers/Coding
Minimum charge for in-person lessons: GRANADA HILLS/PORTER RANCH/NEWBURY PARK/PASADENA/GLENDALE/WEST LA/SOUTH BAY/MALIBU We are a team of experienced teachers and tutors each specializing in our own subject strengths. We provide excellent customer service, possibly immediate or same day for homework help or project completion. Online tutoring is also available with a shared online whiteboard for step-by-step problem solving. We strive to get to the root of the problem be it a test-taking challenge or a problem with foundational concepts. Not very fond of your teacher? Unfortunately, this is often the case. We follow your own pace of learning to achieve results. We love the moment when a student finally understands a topic and starts building self-confidence. We can then use this to change the way a student thinks about a subject resulting in continual improvement and achievement. ABOUT ME: I'm a graduate of UCLA Engineering with a passion for explaining how the physical world works through math and physics along with 15 years of tutoring experience in those subjects, test prep, and computer skills. The teaching strategy I believe in emphasizes subject fundamentals, a powerful and necessary tool for higher problem solving. This strategy has proven very effective regardless of the student's educational background or mental ability. Besides being knowledgeable, I am motivating, caring, and patient in guiding your student to academic success! EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING: Executive Functioning is a separate realm that tutoring can assist in. It deals with cognitive processes including organization, time management, and study skills. Much of the difficulty students face in academic subjects can be attributed to the lack of executive functioning. They either cannot keep up with the pace and workload that advanced courses demand or haven't figured out the best way to study for themselves. We are able to assess a student's shortcomings and formulate a plan for higher achievement. Do NOT use this guy. I completely explained what I needed help with and he took the job but he didn’t know much about Adobe to help me with my situation and then he charged me more than the quoted rate. We were only talking for an hour and he charged me like $50 more. I reached out to see if he would be a decent guy and refund me some money because he didn’t solve my problem and he never responded.
Really grateful that I was able to get the expert help I needed on such short notice. I will definitely be using this pro again in the future. Thank you!
WhizKid was awesome! Well worth the $ to spend for his services
Daniel was on time, professional, and very patient with the content I needed help with. Would easily hire him again!
Amazing experience and learned so quickly on my Mac. Excellent instruction , patient and efficient . Highly recommend.
Great writing, delivered on time, will definitely use again
Daniel is very knowledgeable and explains things clearly. He was able to recognize my knowledge in the topics and coached me through the problems.
Very flexible with time, schedule. Tailors tutoring to students needs. Our son was taking Calculus 2 and he was just beyond patient with our son. His exam grades increased and on his final exam he aced it. Our kiddo became much more confident in understanding the material and learning more effective strategies. Highly recommended 👌
Daniel immediately tackled the project and remedy the problems with the website. I updated my address, telephone number and written information. I recommend anybody Website activities to contact him with the greatest of confidence. Best wishes, Wendy Arnold cell phone 617-721-2473
Absolutely amazing I was struggling with Calculus but Daniel helped me get through it. Thanks to him I now know if there is a problem I’m stuck on or need help I can confidently ask him for math help.
He lied to me and ripped me off. This was one of the worst services I have ever received in my whole life.
Daniel tutored my teenage son in Algebra and Geometry for over one year. During that time, my son's grades increased and he became more confident with Math, in general. His time with Daniel set him up for success in Algebra 2 this year (11th grade). Daniel was always on time, very polite and courteous with my son! Highly recommend his tutoring service.
My 15yr old was struggling with summer enrichment online geometry class and became stressed and unmotivated. He worked with her to help her understand assignments she was stuck on and gave her the confidence to continue working hard on the class to get it completed on her own.
He did an outstanding job! He was very knowledgeable on the subject area. He really went above and beyond. Would definitely hire again!
Daniel worked with my son Gió that needed to enhance his performance for his Algebra final. He was absolutely professional, on time. The actual quality of tutoring was impeccable and my son was able to fully take advantage of the time with him to benefit his understanding which eneded up resulting in a higher grade.
My 10th grade daughter needed help with Geometry and Chemistry and worked with Daniel-geometry and Gabriel-chemistry . Both tutors are kind and patient and knowledgeable. My daughter's grades changed significantly in both subjects. She seems more confident on both subjects. We will continue working with them after winter brake. thank you!
Good tutoring. Helped me review math for my SAT
Daniel has been very responsive and accommodating with my son's crazy schedule. He does a good job with SAT prep!
Daniel helped me with SAT Math Tutoring and exceeded my expectations! With only 2 weeks to works with him I gained 50 points. He broke down the math problems to the basics and never gave up until I understood the problem completely. He is professional and was extremely patient with me throughout our tutoring sessions. I would most definitely work with him again! Thank you Daniel!!!
