VERDICT: WorkTimeService ultimately delivered functional, good-looking bathrooms, but only after significant homeowner involvement, inspection, and follow-up. I would consider hiring them again only if their communication, supervision, and quality-control processes improve. --- We hired WorkTimeService to remodel three bathrooms: • Powder room (~25 sq ft) with lvp flooring, mirrors, and lighting • Guest bathroom (~30 sq ft) with bathtub and tile surround, tile flooring, mirros and lighting • Master bathroom (~100 sq ft) with full shower rebuild with tile surround, flooring, mirrors, and lighting The project finished about a week later than expected (excluding material delays on my side). --- What I liked: • Transparent, itemized pricing with clear breakdown of work • Flexible with scope changes and adjusted pricing fairly • Willing to return and fix issues when raised • Respectful, hardworking installer who showed up consistently • Some problems discovered during demolition were properly corrected instead of covered up --- What concerned me: From day one, I had to function as a de facto quality inspector. Many issues were only identified because I closely monitored the work. Without that, several would likely have been hidden behind finished surfaces. Examples included improper plumbing alignment, waterproofing that initially didn’t follow manufacturer instructions, unsecured fixtures (mirrors/light/vanity), and repeated issues with shower glass installation that required multiple corrections. Even after completion, surfaces were not fully cleaned and small installation details were often left unfinished. --- Communication and supervision: This was the biggest weakness. While the installer was respectful and willing to fix issues, there was no consistent English-speaking supervisor overseeing critical stages such as plumbing, waterproofing, tile prep, or final inspection. Communication was generally limited to “we’ll fix it,” without clear explanation of root cause, corrective steps, or preventive checks. In most cases, corrections were made reactively rather than through proactive quality control. --- Other recurring issues: • Leftover anchors, holes, and installation debris not patched or cleaned • Lack of visible final cleaning or handoff preparation • Multiple trips to stores due to insufficient upfront material review • No clear evidence of pressure testing before closing walls • Finished surfaces often required homeowner cleanup after completion --- Pricing context: This was not a budget contractor. Examples of pricing: • Mirror installation (~$200 each) • Light fixture installation (~$160 each) • Frameless shower glass (~$900+) At these rates, I expected stronger quality control, finishing attention, and proactive supervision. --- Questions I would ask before hiring: 1. Who performs quality inspections at each major stage? 2. Is there an English-speaking supervisor overseeing milestones? 3. What experience does the installer have with U.S. standards? 4. How is compliance with manufacturer instructions verified? 5. How are punch-list items tracked before final payment? --- Despite many 5-star reviews, my experience required significantly more homeowner involvement than expected. Most issues were only resolved after I identified and escalated them, which is why I rated this experience 3 stars. Overall, the bathrooms turned out well—but only after active oversight and repeated follow-up. If you are highly detail-oriented and willing to supervise closely, you may be satisfied. If you expect full end-to-end contractor management and quality control, your experience may be similar to mine.
We had a great experience with this bathroom remodel. The work was done very well, with great attention to detail. Everything was neat, organized, and cleaned up each day. The job was thorough from start to finish, and the results look fantastic. Very professional and reliable—highly recommend.
It was a great experience working them. The team is very professional. They show up on time every day and finished the work as per the committed time. I like the quality of their work. They paid attention to detail
We hired Ivan and his company, Work Time Service LLC, for a full-house renovation — and what followed was an incredibly distressing, expensive, and traumatic experience. Partway through the project, Ivan issued a surprise $43,000 change order — for installing faucets, drains, vanities, outlets, lights, and other basic finish work that we reasonably expected to be included in our original agreement. These items had already been roughed in, and at no point prior were we told that installation would require additional charges. When we refused to pay this unjustified amount, Ivan threatened to stop work entirely. We attempted to compromise by reducing the scope of work, but Ivan continued to insist on payment for the disputed change order items. The ongoing stress became so severe that I ended up in the ER, where I was diagnosed with migraine with aura. Ultimately, we no longer felt safe or comfortable allowing him or his team into our home. After we formally terminated the contract, Ivan threatened to file a mechanic’s lien against our property — despite the fact that we had already paid well above the value of the work completed. We deeply regret hiring him. If you're considering working with Ivan or Work Time, please read every line of the contract carefully, assume nothing is included unless explicitly spelled out, and think twice before trusting this contractor with your home. Reasons We Would Not Recommend Work Time Service: 1. Unjustified, Excessive Change Orders Ivan created a vague contract and ignored multiple clarifications we made during the walkthrough. Initially, the work progressed with acceptable quality and pace. But once he secured the majority of the payment, he began reclassifying almost every remaining task as a change order — including installing faucets, lights, and even basic drainage. For example, the contract clearly included vanity installation in one bathroom, which also required major plumbing changes such as moving the toilet and replacing a shower with a freestanding tub. When it came time to install the vanity, Ivan claimed additional plumbing work was needed and tried to bill it as a new change order — even though vanity installation was explicitly included. The same happened with faucet and drain installation; we weren’t told these were extra until after we had already paid 80% of the contract, with only about 50% of the work completed. Many of these items had already been completed by that point. Ivan later claimed they were done “in good faith,” yet never communicated any additional cost until after the fact — a clear misuse of the change order process. 2. Threatening Behavior (Both Verbal and Written) We invited Ivan for an in-person meeting to express our concerns and resolve the change order dispute. Instead of working toward a resolution, he threatened to “cut the wires in the house” if we didn’t pay the change order amount. The threats didn’t stop there — they continued over email, where he warned us multiple times that he would file a mechanic’s lien against our property. 3. Poor Communication From the beginning, communication was a challenge. Ivan refuses to take phone calls and insists on texting only — and even then, he often dodges questions and gives vague or no answers. His crew does not speak English, making in-person communication nearly impossible. At the same time, they expected us to be available on-site at all hours to answer questions and make clarifications. Ivan also charged extra to pick up cabinets from our vendor, but his crew failed to bring the full order — the laundry room cabinets were missing. When we asked about it, they said, “That’s all the vendor gave us,” and accepted no responsibility for confirming the pickup. We were still billed the full amount. 4. Subpar Quality of Work We are extremely dissatisfied with the tile work. We had specifically requested 1/32” grout lines. While the crew showed us they used the correct spacers, the actual grout lines ended up being over 1/8” in most areas and were noticeably uneven. We provided the grout ourselves and gave clear instructions on how to mix the grout and color. Despite confirming these instructions twice, the grout color on the bathroom walls came out patchy and mismatched — the crew ignored our instructions and mixed it incorrectly on their own. 5. Disrespectful and Unprofessional Behavior One of Ivan’s crew members was openly disrespectful toward me on-site. When we brought this to Ivan’s attention, he dismissed it as a “communication issue” and refused to take it seriously. We experienced the same lack of accountability when we confronted him about the grout issues. Rather than accepting responsibility, he deflected blame and ignored our concerns. 6. Mishandling of Client Materials During an unplanned visit to the site, we found one of Ivan’s crew members loading several boxes of our flooring into his car. When we asked him why, he didn’t respond and gestured that he didn’t understand English. We contacted Ivan by text, and he responded by saying the worker “didn’t know the flooring was purchased by the client.” This excuse was unacceptable and left us feeling extremely uneasy.
Work Tine Service just completed my kitchenette remodel and it looks great! I found the team to be very responsive and professional. I’m really pleased with the quality of work, and will use them again.
I would recommend Ivan and team..They are professional and reliable. They went above and beyond. I would love the opportunity to do another project with them. Ivan takes pride in his work and it shows.
Very responsive and patient Answered all my questions regarding the bathroom remodel very patiently and gave us the best estimate Quality of work was good as well and he finished the entire job in 2 days Flexible and accommodated our request of getting the materials from Amazon Would definitely hire again
They were so amazing. The deck is beautiful, they finished quickly, they absolutely had the best quote of all the quotes we received and they were incredibly nice.
I talked to a lot of salesman (maybe around 7 different ones) when finding deck builders, Worktime Services gives you transparency as they are the only people that itemized, and broke down the costs + material names to be used with free quote. Other salesman will give you free quote, but they just gave full price and not much breakdown. Worktime services made us feel secure, and flexible enough for us to make adjustments from original quote. Their pricing is competitive and yet they are not there to pressure you when receiving the free quote (unlike others we talked to). Respectful, professional and timely from start to finish - from receiving quote, building deck and clean up. Also considerate to not block my garage door whenever they came over to park their cars. I highly recommend Worktime services to others and would love to do projects with them again in the near future. Thank you for building us this beautiful deck!
I dont know where to start. Our plan was to remodel the kitchen, so I got multiple quotes. Short version we ended up remodeling my whole upper floor 3 bdrm and 2 baths with a little more dollars than what the highest contractor was charging just to do the kitchen. Being an electrician, quality and professionalism carried more weight. Their quality of work is commercial grade. They were able to interpret my wife's dream design. I took out the fire place a d installed a 72" heater. My toilet are wall hung and tilled top to bottom, installed new railing metal and red oak. Installed a new main entry door, swapped or my interior doors.l They repainted my whole house, installed a new staircase a d refill finished my 1200sq upper level. Their finishing are top notch. They were able to Custom make some kitchen fittings that people think it was part of the initial design. I don't have enough words to say bought this team. They dedicated 12 week and only called out on actual holiday, which I also needed space with my family. We will be starting our downstairs at the end of the year, and I can't offer the job to anyone else even if i have to wait for one year.
Great team to fix my shower very quickly. They work fast and give updates as they are working on the project. They dedicate time to your project until complete and work flexibly with your schedule. Highly recommend.
