About Zeh's Custom Design
We are a local business, family owned and operated, offering high quality results for over 25 years that provide a personal touch when caring for the pieces our clients bring to us. Kris and I both grew up learning from parents and grandparents how to care for projects on all manner of furniture pieces, and both grew to love watching pieces come to new life with our efforts. It was a joy when we decided to open Zeh's Custom Woodworks, LLC, knowing that we would be able to help our clients bring their pieces a new life. We are passing this along to our children and are excited to see another generation learn the skills and techniques to create furniture as well as repair or refinish it. We have worked on pieces from the late 18th century right up to modern pieces, and have designed and created furniture pieces of all designs and styles, free-standing and built-in. We offer a variety of techniques to create or recreate any finishes. We work with wood, and have done epoxy resin pours, hand-painting, burning, inlay, intarsia, carving, wood turning, upholstery and have a spectacular metal fabricator with whom we partner for all manner of projects. From office spaces to retail cash wraps to wholesale display counters to creating a custom base for a 150-year old cabinet, we can do just about anything you might need. We offer high-quality work, artistry and craftsmanship, and will always treat your projects with the utmost care.
Reviews
He was professional and got back to right away.
We were disappointed in the work that was done. The furniture we had refinished was in good shape without any significant damage. The pieces basically needed to be stripped, restrained and a satin finish applied. When we received the finished pieces they were shiny with a beeswax finish and the legs on the coffee table did not look refinished as there were white marks from scuffing that were present when we took the items in. I did send pictures back to the refinished and was told they would come to my residence and fix the legs, but I declined their offer. The price paid was $1020 which would have been reasonable for pieces done well.
They did the pickup and return as scheduled and very pleased with the work
Zeh's refinished our antique dining table and buffet. My grandmother, original owner, would be proud.
My table, chairs and cabinet turned out beautifully!! How lucky I was to find you guys!! I would highly recommend you!! Thank you!!
A 5 star experience with working with Zeh's Custom Design. We are delighted with the re-finishing on our beautiful wood bar in our kitchen. The bar is attached to the wall and needed to be re-finished on site. We found Zeh's Custom designs to excel in all areas...work quality, professionalism, responsiveness. We heartily recommend them without reservation.
We needed a professional that was able to restore and paint a heirloom dresser for our new baby nursery. Kris and her team did an exceptional job on short notice. The dresser was in its original state from the 1970’s in a brown wood. We wanted it painted to keep the integrity of the furniture but bring something new to the piece by painting rather than sanding and varnish. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the outcome. We had a vision and Kris saw it through. She made paint brand recommendations to get us a finish that will last and we can have this piece to pass down to additional generations. This is a much better way to invest in quality furniture. Take the old and make it new. Worth every dime and the results are priceless. Thanks Kris and The Zeh’s Custom Design Team!
Zeh's custom design is a great company! They consistently under promised and over delivered. Our table looks great. I highly recommend them.
Zeh’s did an amazing job of refinishing an old Ethan Allen table that had seen better days. Additionally they were very responsive and clearly take a lot of pride in the work. Such a high sheen in the picture you can see the reflection of the art on the wall. Thanks Zehs!
Zeh’s did a great job fixing two beds my dog chewed up. Finished the job on time and in good quality.
Kris and team worked on my mother in law's antique furniture. I was unsure and scared at the same time of how it woukd come out. But to my amazement it was BEAUTIFUL! I Never dreamed it would look so good. The work was perfectly done. The care they took to handle the furniture on delivery was professional. Thank you for bringing her memories to life.
Chris and Kris were great!
Great job on an upcycle project, marrying my artwork on panel with a thrift shop head board. Timely and reasonable quote, kept me informed as to status, good design and workmanship.
Chris has not helped me yet. I sent him an email I thought. I need him to respond.
I got a quick response when I entered what I was looking for. My furniture that needed to be fixed was picked up and the job was done ahead of schedule. It was brought back and looks great!
I have a dining table that had wobbly legs after being moved around the country multiple times. I wanted to keep the table but get some new, sturdy legs that matched. Chris and his work partner Brian sat down with me and went over design ideas. The table legs turned out great and I am very pleased with the whole process. The pricing was in line with what was originally quoted. I would definitely work with Zeh's Custom Design if I have other projects that come up.
