“Todd and his partner were great! Our project involved cutting into stone and metal in an existing outdoor patio kitchen space. The finished product looked exactly as I had envisioned and the final cost ended up being less than his initial estimate. Highly recommend. Creative Design Builders would be my first call if we had any additional work to do in our landscaped backyard and outdoor kitchen space. Thanks, Todd.”

“great service, i had come across this company on accident late one evening way after working hours, and when i had explained my problem he was very quick with his estimate which helped me plan everything regarding the work i needed to get done, even though again it was after working hours. his responses was very quick and efficient, when i didnt understand something he always explained it with care that made me feel like i am indeed a top priority client. his work was very good and i dont regret spending any money on it. i will definitely be working with this company again.”

“We invited bids from three highly qualified companies to rebuild the roof deck over our garage. Although TGR's bid fell in the middle of the price range, their expertise set them apart. We were particularly impressed by their understanding of the challenges involved in constructing a flat roof over a garage—one that would drain properly and, most importantly, remain watertight. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. Jordan provided a prompt, detailed, and accurate estimate. Martin, the production manager, devised an excellent solution to our roofing challenges. And Dale, the project manager, was frequently on-site, attentive to every detail, and always easy to reach. True to their word, the entire project was completed in just two days. The crews worked tirelessly, taking only a lunch break, and their skill and craftsmanship were evident in every detail. Everyone we encountered was courteous, friendly, and thoroughly professional. The coordination among the team members was seamless. TGR delivered exactly what they promised, on time and with exceptional attention to quality. We couldn't be more pleased with the result and would recommend them without hesitation!”

“We recently purchased a new home here in Portland and needed help with furniture assembly and a variety of other projects around the house. Being new to the area, I wasn’t sure who to call, so when someone suggested Thumbtack, I have to admit I was a little nervous about hiring someone through a service I had never used before. However, to my absolute delight and surprise, the person who came out was not only extremely capable and knowledgeable, but also one of the nicest and most personable people I’ve met in a long time. He immediately put me at ease, and I was incredibly impressed with both the quality of the work and how efficiently everything was completed. It quickly became clear that Emfrem (Comfort Home Improvements) is a highly experienced and skilled craftsman, especially when it comes to woodworking. I truly cannot recommend him highly enough. Since there is always more work to be done in a new home, we absolutely hope to work with him again — not only for future household projects, but possibly even remodeling work down the road if our finances permit.  Highly Recommend!”

“They were less money but just has high of quality and workmanship as the “big guys”. I wholeheartedly recommend them.”

“(This after many experiences with construction companies that either didn't solve problems or charged ridiculous amounts for simple repairs.) They helped me with the repair of a subfloor that was sinking due to dry rot, and did an exceptional job for a reasonable price. Sean came personally to assess the problems, thoroughly talked them through with me with different options, then sent me a detailed and reasonable estimate which he honored as the final cost. Communication by phone and e-mail was excellent, and he was very understanding with my issues with scheduling due to family issues. He even sent pictures of possible materials so I could picture what could be done and I didn't have to go to showrooms. As for the work, Joel did almost all of it, starting with ripping out all the rot, the existing vinyl flooring, and replacing beams and subfloor. As you can see, it really needed help, and we added a new toilet to the job. But it was the finish work I was so impressed with! Not only did he put in new flooring (which Sean helped me select), he perfectly cut brand new baseboards, and even painted them. Joel obviously takes pride in his work as a craftsman. In short, Sean and Joel provided me with not just a repair but an excellent start on a remodel, and I'm hoping to have them back to put in a walk-in shower and a new sink cabinet later this fall. Don't hesitate to call them for an estimate for any kind of construction project--they do much more than flooring!”
