“The technician stated he would be at my home shortly after 5pm and he was here at 5:15pm. He was a nice, professional guy that went right to work diagnosing the problem with my garagedoor opener. We had some strong thunderstorms roll thru over the last week and figured one of the power surges took out the opener. The technician and I were a bit baffled as to why there was no power at the openers outlet, everything else electrical was hot or on. My house is an inherited home from my parents and my father was a huge GFI (Ground Fault Interupter) and there are a few of these circuits installed and I hadn't been introduced to them. Come to find out that the opener was on one of those circuits and it had tripped from one of the many lightning strikes and just needed to be reset and didn't really need a new opener. However, when I was told that the current opener was manufactured in 1998 and this is 2026, thats close to 30 years old, so I decided to replace it anyways. This was a classic case of the house fooling me once shame on it but not going to fool me twice to shame me. The technician offered to give me a discount but just told him no, since the house fooled me its not his mistake, he and I had a good chuckle about this. Let this be a reminder to all, check ALL options and yes I would hire this company again.”
