Emily Kruger says, “The Tortoise team remodeled my hall bathroom back in March and did a fantastic job, from start to finish and right on schedule with no budget surprises. Mike gave a fair estimate and helped me think through design decisions I hadn't even considered, since he's clearly been through this many times and brings up things us remodel novices might miss. My bathroom went from a cold, sterile, builder-grade afterthought to a calming, coastal-toned retreat. Everything feels cohesive, well thought out and solidly constructed. Mike also suggested a custom glass shower door sized for taller heights which I absolutely love and a bathroom fan that is remarkably quiet, just a couple of small details that make a big difference everyday. While the whole team was great, Troy was the true standout as project manager/finish carpenter. He was on top of every detail, kept the timeline moving, and checked in regularly to make sure I was happy with how things were progressing, not just at the end. He's also just a genuinely friendly, personable guy who made the whole process feel easy rather than stressful - a rare combination of being incredibly organized and genuinely pleasant to have around the house for weeks at a time. I never had to chase anyone down for updates; Troy made sure I always knew what was happening and when.I highly recommend Tortoise to anyone looking to renovate!”
Kyle Ramos says, “Sean and his crew killed it for our window replacement. I maintain a pretty large nursing home. We recently upgraded our old terrible single pane windows approximately 55+ windows to the latest energy star line and the process was incredibly easy, including new French doors going to the patio. They did updated building drawings at the time for us (part of the permitting process). Pricing on both was easily the best around town. Armando, the crew lead was extremely knowledgeable and professional while taking care of the job, as were all of the on site crew members . They worked fast, efficiently, and did phenomenal work. They communicated any issues or possible changes promptly. We had other projects going on at the time including a new roof and deck simultaneously and were very flexible accommodating these projects at the same time. Our only issue was the permitting process, all of which was due to Multnomah county being the laughing stock of Oregon government. Even had to have the dept of forestry review the plans to ensure all of the zero trees on the property wouldn't be affected. Wish I was joking. Made the project take 3 months longer than it should of. None of which was was all seasons issue, however, I mention this because again these guys killed it. Even called me weekly to provide updates during that process. I really can't talk these dudes up enough. If you're even thinking about a project like this. Give em a ring.”
Stephanie Heinrich says, “Highland Ridge contracted add 600 additional square footage to our main house. They listened to our vision for the space and addressed our requirements. They were able to take a rough drawing and turn it into a great plan. They worked with us to maintain our budget. All in all we love the space and our neighbors have stopped by to admire it.We had very little issues. Framers were a little messy leaving some cans and garbage which the homeowner had to clean up.We transitioned a couple times to different project managers which sometimes resulted in miscommunication or information not transferring. All PM's were great but we realized that we also needed to be reviewing the build often to make sure that our requirements were met as responsibilities changed hands. We would highly recommend Highland Ridge for your remodeling or addon needs. They know how to navigate the county requirements and are very friendly and respond quickly to any issues or questions you might have.”
Dew H. says, “It is easy to recommend Wendy. My project involved replacing all of the old pipes in my home, complete renovation of two bathrooms, and replacing the counters, backsplash and floors in my kitchen. She listens to her clients but also communicates her concerns if she thinks it is necessary. She knows a lot about interior design and what materials are available in our area. A skilled group of sub-contractors work with her regularly (carpenters, plumbers, tilers, stone masons etc.) She is respectful of clients’ time…no waiting all day for her or her crew to show up. I would definitely choose her again.”
Shamim Sabeti says, “I recently worked with Roya Kitchen & Bath for a complete remodel of my kitchen and bathroom, and Im beyond thrilled with the outcome! From the very beginning, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and truly listened to my ideas. The communication throughout the project was excellent. The project manager kept me in the loop, ensuring I was aware of every step and timeline adjustment. The quality of their work is impressiveevery detail was carefully crafted, and the finished results exceeded my expectations.I highly recommend Roya Kitchen & Bath for anyone looking to transform their space. Their professionalism, craftsmanship, and dedication to customer satisfaction make them stand out.”
Camille Bishop says, “First off, if I could give more stars I would---Zach's work is a perfect 10 out of 5 stars. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He built a tiny home in my backyard this year. Not only is the finished product beautiful, but the process was better than I could have imagined. He was wonderful to work with.Zach was a great communicator through every step. He set us up with a time line for the many steps of the project, which he updated multiple times a week (and finished ahead of schedule). He also set us up with a spreadsheet so it was clear to us what design/hardware decisions we needed to make and on what timeline. He was patient and so helpful with all of our questions. I've never experienced that level of organization and transparency. He has a great eye for design and helped us make smart decisions that uphold our aesthetic design, while also making the space super functional. His work is very high quality and though I have learned from other experiences to always be skeptical of contractors, he earned our trust and held it. Being able to trust a contractor like this is such a rare gift.Zach has such strong integrity, he's very smart, and is a genuinely kind person. I can't imagine working with any other contractors from now on, Zach is really the best.I *highly* recommend you work with him for your project, he will not let you down.”
