“We recently hired Leo from LR Finish Carpentry to complete a challenging stair project in a 70-year-old home we just bought and are renovating. We decided to open the walls on the narrow staircase so more light could pass through the main floor —we took walls down and were left with a floating staircase in the middle of the entryway with no sides or base. It was a tricky situation, and I had three different companies come out to look at it. From the first visit, Leo stood out as the most detailed and knowledgeable by far. He walked through the space, pointed out numerous things I needed to consider, offered creative ideas, and even told me exactly what materials I would need if I chose to buy them myself. He was incredibly patient and sat with me at the computer to make sure I fully understood the requirements—whether I hired him or not. His goal was clearly to protect me from anyone trying to take advantage. That level of honesty and transparency immediately earned my trust. When the quotes came back, Leo’s pricing was significantly better than the other two companies (which were far more expensive). I decided to order the materials myself to try to save a little more, but that ended up causing multiple delivery delays. Leo was extremely patient throughout, checking in every few days without any pressure. Once everything finally arrived, he came out and completed the entire staircase installation in just one day. Leo’s attention to detail is exceptional. Given the age of the house, measurements were a real challenge. He noticed that the base of the walls we had taken down were off by about 5/16 of an inch, which meant the balusters wouldn’t appear perfectly in line from every angle. As someone who is hyper-detailed (a pain in the ass, frankly), I never would have noticed it and even after he explained it I still can’t notice it - as he is a master with measurements. His craftsmanship on the handrail, especially the incredible mitering work, is absolutely jaw-dropping. He was meticulous, suggested smart adjustments to ensure everything would pass code inspections without issues, and he knows the building code inside and out. The finished stairs exceed my expectations in every way. The quality is outstanding, and everyone who sees them comments on how beautiful the craftsmanship is. I highly recommend LR Finish Carpentry and Leo specifically. If you want quality work from someone honest, skilled, and truly professional, look no further. “He helped design a specific platform for us and it was exactly as we wanted. Helped with his own ideas to make it even better than we had planned !”

“Great experience, great outcome, great communication. Brandon and John our main contact were extremely responsive and helpful. We started with one project (tile flooring replacement in 2 rooms) and moved on adding more rooms (walls, fireplace and flooring) including a full bathroom renovation. Jamie is truly a master carpenter”

“Benjamin and his crew did great work, helped keep a multifamily built in 1812 upright during a complete renovation by bracing it and simultaneously rebuilding per the new plans. He's responsive and follows up quickly on the job, I highly recommend.”

“There was electrical work, plumbing work, sheet rock, tiling, windows, ceilings, new appliances, cabinets, countertops, exterior roof, etc. The project looks amazing!”
