“I definitively recommend buying it but if not then she will send you the lessons. With other instructors we had issues with the technology but using FaceTime with Natalia has worked great. Also, my schedule varies so it works well with her flexible schedule. However, she does offer set days and times if that is your thing. Most importantly she has a genuine passion for making sure that I succeed. Along with the lessons, there are assignments to do on your own and she will send extra material as well. She’s also helped me find different ways to access programs in Portuguese on Netflix and Globo. Also, you’ll see that there are many instructors that are more expensive and less expensive. I tried several of them and feel that Natalia is by far the best value. She’s already increased my confidence. At the same time it’s going to be a long but enjoyable ride to get where I need to be.”

“He is clear, engaging and truly a joy to work with. Do NOT hesitate to reach out to him.”

“I highly recommend her. She is a lovely person as well. I would hesitate to hire her.”

“I would consider myself a bit of a linguaphile after spending many years studying Japanese throughout high school and university with some private lessons years later, a couple of college level linguistics, and some formal study of German, which is mostly non-existant. However, my ear for Portuguese wasn't good and my knowledge of it was non-existent. After trying to teach myself via Duo-lingo and Rosetta stone with no success, I gave up as I realized learning Brazilian Portuguese is much different than any other romance language and we Americans just aren't used to hearing it spoken unlike French and Spanish. I reached out to Renato to help build the foundations for speaking Portuguese for a then-upcoming trip to Brazil and Renato presented a challenging curriculum. The result of two and a half months of 2-weekly Portuguese lessons built a solid foundation of basic Portuguese that made communicating in Brazil an interesting experience, which was also a learning experience. I came back to the US and have since continued my lessons to now understand Portuguese better than I did even after I came back from Brazil in 2013. Whether if your lessons are in person or via Skype, his approach to teaching Portuguese is tailored to each of his student's language learning ability and each is never mundane and always full of new things to learn and remember. If you're looking for an excellent Portuguese teacher Renato's your person and be prepared for some challenging assignments that will stretch your mind. ”

“The kids love working with her, and she knows how to adapt the lessons to their interests and capabilities.”

“Marcia's positivity and love for teaching radiates through Skype. ”
