We were looking to do a flooring project to have tile and carpet replaced by laminate flooring and we reached out for an estimate. They were great at quickly coming to our house and hearing the details and providing feedback and options and then providing a competitive estimate. They also said they were able to do any type of project so we also got an estimate for some slide out drawers for one of our pantry cabinets. Very professional and great at answering questions and providing options.

Benjamin was great to work with! I wanted a pull out trash can for the kitchen. To make it match exactly it was going to be pretty pricey when i got quotes from other people but he was able to have it close enough (bc my cabinets are old and ill be redoing them again eventually) for a reasonable price. The project was done very quickly and the product was quality. Highly recommended.

Well, where to start. Vboer(Ben), was positive from the start, which I greatly appreciate. Well it’s just his manner I guess, it didn’t translate into good work. My job started on September 25th, and was supposed to go for two weeks, which turned into eight. Demo went ok, there was only one guy here for that and he was outside as much as he was inside working, supervision would probably have been helpful. (I have security cameras). Then came the plumber, his credentials didn’t really exist, the only legal information I could find on him was that he was an apprentice at some point, no license or insurance. Our soil line (main stack) was in bad shape and needed to be replaced, sucked but what are you going to do? Then he started ripping up the floor to get to the buried sewer line, and it was back flowing and would need to be replaced. Another speed bump. He started to work on it but then disappeared, that was Wednesday, our sewer line was open for two days, it didn’t smell to good. Friday he was there late. In the process of trying to remove the main stack, which we are kind of certain he was using a sledgehammer by the looks of the pipe. Which in turn cracked the connections from the upstairs bathroom (sink and shower) and damaged the stack that leads to the roof, which lead to the water being shut of for two days (so no sewer or water for two days). My family of five were got screwed. He showed up around twelve noon on Saturday, worked till eleven o clock, came the next day, at around noonish again, worked till about eight , at which point I made him leave, the sewer line was only half done, still no water or sewer. So Monday I had to fix one of the water line that got damaged from the main stack disaster, we had running water to my kitchen. After two days Ben found a replacement, Irving seemed to know what he was doing, he managed the finish the sewer stake to the roof, which meant tearing into our dining room wall, which was left unfinished. But finally we could you a working toilet and shower for the first time since Saturday. That was a week of hell, for the next four weeks we had to deal with dust everywhere, they didn’t try to prevent the mess from spreading, finally I covered up the doorway and try to clean up their mess. I didn’t know who was a plumber, or a tile person, or a carpenter, it was interchangeable, which lead to nothing getting finished until I voiced my displeasure with an always positive Ben. By week six, the tile was mostly done, the sheet rock was mostly done, the plumbing was mostly done and the door was mostly done (see a trend?). To my guess they didn’t know how to finish anything, they brought another person to finish the tile, another person to finish the doors, and sheet rock. The second plumber tried to fix a leak under our vanity with electrical tape, I didn’t have a toilet put in until I started to do it myself. Finally a third set of guys were brought in to fix all the problems, leaks, and badly hung trim. They made it barible. In the meantime I was having them install an egress window and window well, it took three days to cut through, broke through the sheet rock on the inside in the wrong place (see pictures). Ben didn’t know who was going to finish the sheet rock or trim on the outside, he did offer to fix it for five hundred dollars more. So all totaled, my two week job, quoted for &20,000, ended up at eight weeks, at $30,000. I could have done the same job they did by myself, but I’m almost sixty, and had the money to pay someone. Ben misrepresented his companies abilities and I was the fool who thought his positive attitude would help, (nope). I have attached pictures, unfinished windows, badly finished laundry floor, bathroom vent to nowhere, bad workmanship, and no trust for contractors. Pay more, get better people, expensive lesson.
