“I reached out on Thumbtack and someone got back to me within a day to get the details of my project. We did an initial walkthrough a few days later and I received a quote within a week. The project was small and not a lot of construction companies take smaller jobs. We needed cabinets cut out and a dishwasher installed, and a custom door for an outdoor shed/office. We ended up adding a garbage disposal install to the project and they were flexible and fair with pricing. Communication was great throughout and I had a text thread with the GC and a project coordinator. The work was done in a reasonable amount of time and we’re happy with how everything turned out. We will definitely work with Concretum on future house projects.”

“Bill helped us with our renovation. The work included paint, change baseboards, change wood floor, renovate fireplace and build new railings. The overall experience was pleasant. Bill is responsive and professional. He was the most responsive out of all the other contractors we met with. We sourced our own wood but used Bill’s contact for hearth stone. We are overall happy with the experience and quality of work. Small thing that could’ve gone better was the railing and banister turned out to be bulkier than we had expected and the wall around fireplace wasn’t finished.”

“We recently completed a bathroom remodel in Redwood City with Be Free Developments, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. From the initial consultation, their team was professional, attentive, and genuinely invested in bringing our vision to life. They took the time to understand exactly what we wanted, offered thoughtful design suggestions, and were transparent about pricing and timelines. The craftsmanship is outstanding. Every detail — from the tile work to the fixtures and finishes — was executed with precision and care. The space feels modern, functional, and beautifully designed. You can truly see the quality in the work. What stood out most was their communication and reliability. The project stayed on schedule, the team showed up consistently, and they kept everything clean and organized throughout the process. If you’re considering a bathroom remodel in Redwood City, I highly recommend Be Free Developments. They deliver quality, professionalism, and results that speak for themselves. We couldn’t be happier with our new bathroom!”

“We are so grateful we have found Karl on this website. The project which we were looking for a handyman involved remodelling a guest room for a family visit. It was expected four weeks from the moment that we had a first evaluating meeting with Karl. We also needed to have minor work on the kitchen cabinets, making the interior into more practical usage. We had a time sensitive schedule, which we mentioned to Karl upon the first meeting, and Karl said he would complete both projects in a week’s time. Everything was done a week after Karl began transforming the guest bedroom and two kitchen cabinets! The transformation was really impressive! One of the works in the guest bedroom involved replacing carpeting for laminate floor. We chose the floor colour on Home Depot website, from the website’s pictures. When Karl picked up the flooring from the store and brought it, the colour turned out to be much darker than on the photos, darker than what we wanted. After some consideration, my husband and I thought that we would just go ahead with this wood colour; it was not a perfect match to the rest of the flooring in the house, but we thought it would be ok. The next day, before starting the work, after talking with Karl, he suggested it would be absolutely fine for him to have another trip to Home Depot to return the darker coloured wood and pick up a lighter colour. We were very touched by Karl’s kindness and are so appreciative of his making it look so easy! The same went with all the other finishing touches, that every project usually involves, Karl touched up or replaced with such a kindness and willingness. Everything was done exactly how we wanted! We are so happy with the results! This is a man of high integrity and professionalism. We would gladly work with Karl again. Thank you so much for all the great, swift work you have done to help us with both projects!”

“I was expecting to have to wait several hours to hear anything back from my initial inquiry to Thumbtack asking for yard help. Edwin from Tortuga Landscaping asked if he could come right over and see the job. It was clear to me in talking to Edwin that his company does a large variety of landscaping jobs; pavers, pruning, general landscaping as well as maintenance. He also has a full crew if you need them, or if the job is smaller as mine was, he can send exactly as many workers as you need. The job I had was a major yard clean up job. We set up the work for the very next day. I worked side by side with Edwin's brother for part of the day but he was extremely self sufficient, hard working and courteous. Not only that, but he was a super pleasant guy to work with. I look forward to hiring this company again! Thank you Noah and Edwin!”
