“I interviewed friends and family and could not find a contractor through those means. So I found 3 contractors to come take a look at our kitchen/mini remodel using Thumbtack. All of the 3 contractors came in very close in terms of the bids $$. We choose On Design and remodeling to work with us because we felt they would have the best working relationship. Aviv told us that they would have great communication during the whole process and they did. The whole team was very responsive to any question and any issues that arose. We remodeled our kitchen and replaced the flooring in about 75% of the house (engineered hardwood and carpet). The work also included structural engineering support of an exterior wall as well as removal of a wall in the interior. After the dust settled the team completed the project in approximately 12 weeks and the team finished on time and on schedule. They actually finished a few days early to the plan. We were thrilled with the level of communication as well as their care with our family. We decided to live in the house during construction and the team did a lot to try and make it as pleasant as possible. They did a good job of keeping the site clean before they left each day. We did have issues with things as the project progressed, things just come up. One of our cabinets did not fit as we thought it would. Aviv and Raz were able to take care of it. Got us a different cabinet - one that fit the right way, and very quickly resolved the issue. Overall I would, and have, recommended On Design to family and friends. I don’t think it’s normal to have such a smooth and painless experience during a remodel. I’m really glad we used On Design, it did take a lot of stress off a very stressful situation.”

“I contacted Joey after a previous contractor walked away from the projects mid-job. From the start, Joey was exceptionally punctual. What impressed me most was his honesty and technical expertise. Regarding our stucco issues, he wisely recommended repairing only the necessary sections to save costs, rather than a full overhaul. He also provided a meticulous breakdown of how to bring our unpermitted windows and kitchen work up to city code, explaining every detail from weatherproofing to screw placement. Joey has a great eye for detail; he identified issues with garage plumbing, door fittings, and even misinstalled rain gutters that others missed. He is also refreshingly budget-conscious—he actually talked me out of expensive garage epoxy, advising me to prioritize structural needs instead. While other contractors rushed out vague, "competitive" quotes, Joey took a few days to put together a comprehensive and fair bid. In the expensive Bay Area market, Joey stands out as a genuine, transparent professional. Although I went with another contractor due to prior obligations, I would highly recommend Joey for any home project.”
